Does anyone else think the close caption description for an engine spool up is "music" is totally appropriate
Great video guys, some great tips for capturing images and film with a phone, inspiring.
I have a DMC Panasonic Tz5 from 2008 and It's by no means a 'good' camera now in 2024 but, I love it's nostalgic charm! . It's definitely a special feeling to be able to take pictures of brand new A350s etc and have them look like they flew in straight from the 2000s :)
Thanks guys. Apple also gives you the option of ProRAW (a hybrid) for stills.
I noticed Andy had a DJI Osmo Pocket 3, can you do a video on using that. The quality is so good on them.
Great stream Martin and Andy. I usually use my phone at the airport to film planes coming in and going out.
Such a great video! Love this kind of content, great stuff gents ✈️
Yeah Digital zoom on most phones is pretty vile. keep to the optical zoom ranges of the phone. Southside is brilliant for phone shots - the closer you can get the better/clearer/more detailed the images are, I find the clearer the weather also factors a lot, obviously. but every little helps with phone photography so picking better weather conditions and even if you are facing towards or away from the sun has a big effect. I Love to treck down to the Woodend lane of southside and get pics of planes actually leaving the ground for those action shots - I find a lot can be forgiven in phone photography if something more exciting is happening in the picture.
What a good video. Well done.
I use my Samsung S23 Ultra with the DJI Osmo Mobile 6 and it works fantastic also with the active track even on fast moving aircraft
Great video. I achieved some incredible shots at Heathrow and JFK (and over the Atlantic!) last month with my iPhone 15 ProMax. In fact, the quality of all the shots I took in New York with that phone was insane. And, like Andy, I find the newest phones handle wind noise so much better.
I have really enjoyed your photography and editing videos this week. Ever since I discovered @Airliners Live, I've been using my old iPhone to practise panning planes at LHR LCY and of course MAN. I will keep using my phone for videos, and my 35mm SLR for stills as it has an 85-300 zoom lens! Bing bong
Amazing photos and videos
i have iphone 15 plus and google pixel pro 7 and 8a but i have a Panasonic g7 and other equipment a a pro photographer and i use my mob so many time when out and about people did not see any difference and i have love taken photos for well over 25 years and i remember 35mm and the 110 camera and a dark room and enjoy it every day
You weren’t wrong about the aer lingus being the loudest engines at Manchester airport! The sound of those engines past my house is like a hurricane!!
Another fantastic informative video guys 👍👌 it's worth noting as well that the newer Samsung Phones have Expert RAW photo option for even more editing control, I'm not sure in Pixel have a similar mode. Loving these videos, can't wait for more. Thank you 😊
Good video! Any suggestions for settings on a S24 Ultra for taking video at air shows? Would love to hear from you guys on that. Thank you!
This is good, going to give it a go with my phone. Thanks guys
I don’t have a camera and i go to Stansted but when they’re close an Iphone 13 Pro is able to get some pretty good pictures. Anyway nice video today!
Sony's new Xperia 1 VI with pro mode (if you know stuff about exposure and not just point and click) will serve you well I'd say.
