I was trying this trick for a couple of hours one day and just could not figure it out. I watched your trick tip on it last night and it helped me so much, I was able to make sense of it and figure out the mistakes I was making! Went out today and landed it after about an hour (got it on camera also! Thanks so much for your videos, they really help break it down.
Hey man, glad to hear this helped you out! I think freestyle tricks are so different to each other that there's a lot of fumbling around in the dark unless someone shows you how they work, so I'm happy to help with what I can.
I know these instructional videos are normally pretty "dry", but yeah, I'm normally laughing like an idiot when I'm skating and trying ridiculous stuff. That stuff rarely gets captured on film, though. Maybe I'll throw in some more "bonus clips" in future videos.
Honestly? I wanted to be a vert skater, but there wasn't even a mini ramp near where I grew up in the late 90s. Street never appealed to me - too repetitive. Just ollie trick after ollie trick. So, with no ramps, freestyle seemed like the way forward when I found out about it in 2001. I've been hooked ever since. I finally learned to skate ramps (and even do airs!) in 2013, but I know my place. I'm too set in my ways now!
Good luck, man. Don't overthink it - as long as you're pushing through that 45º diagonal and you're jumping enough, these really aren't that hard. I'm sure you'll get it in no time.
@@FreestyleTricktips I failed to get the board fully vertical, but managed to land a few in rail. Throw a ball for a goldfish, win a trout. I'm cool with that.
Going out to learn this one today! Thanks! 😆
Go get it, man! This one is SO much fun.

Love your videos man
Love the November sunlight :)
I love it a lot more than I love the November air, that's for sure!
The rolling one looks like a pain . I'm gonna try the stationary version !!!!
To be honest, I don't think I've seen anyone else even *try* the rolling one. It's a ridiculous nightmare of a trick.
What made you pick freestyle over street or pool?

Hmm. I think I'm going to go have a crack at it. Wish me luck!

Love this trick, Tony, but what the hell is Reintges? By the way, your accidental flip to tail wheelie looked kinda cool.
It's named after the person who invented it - Klaus Peter Reintges.
But than crazy trick
