How many crabs like that did you see? Few, I assume. That might be a clue to leave it behind. You don't need it to live. Let it live and serve its function in its own environment.
I really like your diving videos. I’m born in Finland, live in Sweden and for some reason I thought that it would look about the same there in the water since we are almost at the same latitude but it is so much more colour and different species there. The best part is seeing you so happy ❤
Love this "wild" . The underwater world is so beautiful, peaceful and wild! Great music choices. The quality of your video was crisp. Nicely done. Thank you for taking us along.
I think you're on to something Joe! Follow your heart and your instincts! AKA your gut! Seems to me that you are living your best life! Onwards and upwards!
I am totally blown away with your new adventure. Wonderful video! As an Islander, I didn't fully realize the color and life in our Coastal waters. Thank you!
I am loving this new adventure! I so enjoy going along with you. You’re underwater video was beautiful! So crisp and clear. Thanks for taking us along….and don’t stop! ❤️
Wow Joseph, what an awesome video! Stunning underwater filming, beautiful colors. Just another world all together for sure. It's very plain to see that you are in your element, near and under the water. 🌊 🏊♂️ 🦀 🦞 🦑 🐙 🐚 🐟
The diving is awesome! It’s like we have 2 worlds to see now the one above the water and the one below is totally a inspiration to see l love it very much! 🤿
I am so glad you have found yourself a wonderful hobby that makes you happy and satisfied in life. Please continue. Happy to see you finally have more smiles on your face. Greetings from Denmark
Joseph your video was awesome.I enjoy very much.Sharing the wild under water as well as nature. 👍👍Im sure it won't be long before you'll harvest some seaweeds, for some salad like...I was wondering your crab traps.Could you of caught as big as the ones you saw and eaten?Thank you for great videos. Also as security,i'm sure you never go diving alone?Take care and many great adventures to you my friend.
Hey Joseph, the video from your dive was so amazing. I loved it now I have foresty forest, taking me to the mountain tops and you taking me to the bottom of the ocean amazing. That was so much fun. You be safe out there and stay warm. I look forward to your next adventure.🇺🇸♥️✌️🙏🙂🤿🐠🏔️🚐🇨🇦
Really enjoyed the underwater filming. Those were new starfish formations, different colour urchins and those crabs are huge. I had never seen that particular species before either. Let us know how eating it went. I have seen mussels in tide pools before but always was unsure as to how safe they were to eat. It was also a good lesson to all of us about thinking our naked feet are safe going in the water. There was an abundance of urchins. Felt I was watching a national geographic channel. Who knew all of that was on the shores of BC. You live your life Joseph, we are here for the ride. Don’t do anything you don’t feel like to please viewers. You’ll stay much happier that way. All at your own pace.
Hey Josef loving this aspect of you sharing the wild. Thank you! It’s good to hear your thoughts on respect for the wild life and your efforts to preserve life. Please continue to share with us. I’m looking forward to seeing more!
It’s amazing how once we truly connect with nature, respecting it becomes priority. Hang in there, Joseph, I can see your channel one day exploding in numbers. Great content.
Hi Joseph I really like the new content your making I also like all of the other content you make as well your out there living it! It's so great to see! It's like food for the soul 😀 take care
The amazing underwater scenes... with all the colours... and the astonishing wildlife... plus the camaraderie (and sharing)... and then adding your music selection and sound-effects = a beautiful video Joseph. Thanks for sharing your wild. It was fun to watch.
Loving the new content! I said this on your other video, but this is gold! Thank you for sharing something many of us would never get to see. Keep up the great work!
Seeing the underwater environment is awezome! I could never do it myself. I'm too afraid. i almost drowned when i was young and even in a swimming pool I panic being completely under water. But I think it's amazing!!
I had that same experience so I know what your talking about. I had many dreams of drowning when I was a kid too, but none of it kept me out of the water. This is a bit different and I've been learning about shallow water blackouts in relationship to freediving. It's new to me, but it makes sense, and It's a very real concern. Safety training and diving with someone like Chris is helping me build a solid foundation of safe practices and that's paramount for me. Theres no doubt, I need to be careful about this and respect the water. Onwards & Upwards
This underwater footage added a whole new dimension to Sharing the Wild. You captured the awe and wonder beautifully. I was a little sad that big beautiful crab came to the end that way. I have never seen such a creature before. Looking forward to more videos.
So cool! I grew up on the shore of NB and spent lots of time during summer time in the water snorkeling…nothing like this! Im going to visit family in Campbell River this summer, might have to find spots to go try that over there! Thx man keep them coming!
I really enjoyed this video. I loved seeing what’s under the water. I felt like I was there seeing this with you. Those crabs were huge and I bet they were very tasty. Thank you for sharing this ! 🦀
You always have the proper respect for the wildlife and harvesting sustainably, thank you for that. Being able to see what you've going to harvest and decide what you're taking out of the water is excellent conservation, imo. I'd love to see more videos like this-not something I've done myself. And I gotta say, y'all have big brass ones for getting in that water in a wetsuit-I dive dry if the water is 70 degrees or less, and usually 75 or less. I like seeing you cook and the feedback of how it is eating different species than I have available to me also. Most excellent video!
You are doing as the name you've claimed " Sharing the Wild", you hunt and forage and fish and now forage the sea as well. Learn as much as you can and then share with us. A crab once a year - one that size, - mix in a few foraged greens and mushrooms and your caviar, a feast presents itself. You are living your best ever life, and you're living in the present moment. Enjoy !💗💗💗
Another well done video! Omg this free diving is incredible, beautiful, exciting! That crab, amazing & delectable. Never had one like that. Enjoyed this immensely, thank you Joseph!
Love this new part of your life. One question, Would you ever consider snorkeling on a tropical reef like off the coast of Florida or Australia? You'd be surprised at how BEAUTIFUL and so vibrant the corals are in Florida. Sharks yes but ever so much more fish and well you should think of making a winter trip to the Florida Keys to go snorkeling. Love the beauty of the cold water life, just can't swim in it any more. Happy trails and safe travels to you
So Kewl seeing what lives under the water :) It would be kewl if you could add pop ups saying what the names of the creatures are :) I look forward to more videos of you going in the sea and it also looks really good with the new GoPro :) Have fun and stay safe out there :) Peace
I have Renaud’s syndrome too, so it must be in the family. Love the video, music, fast driving, underwater everything, not to mention the beautiful crab. Super content ❤❤❤
Beautiful video! And its fun to watch and catch food from the water. Maybe try some spearfishing for dinner once in a while? I hope by summer you will show us the vivid colors underwater and all types of sea fishes available in that area.
Puget Sound king crabs are stunning! A buddy brought one up in Brown Bay Campbell River last week and after giving it a good look and drooling over the 20-30lbs he was, we did put him back because of the rare sight for the location and being a protected species in some areas. What an experience though
Hate to say it but those particular crabs are relatively rare and old and should probably be left alone. Stick to Rock crabs and dungeness.
These van people don’t have a lot of money so they think nature is all for them its kinda weird.
I agree
How many crabs like that did you see? Few, I assume. That might be a clue to leave it behind. You don't need it to live. Let it live and serve its function in its own environment.
If you go through all the trouble to suit up swim out there and it's technically legal, yeah, I'm eating ONE... but I also tend to agree.. ✌️
I would say that he is not a person who does this without knowing the effect it may have and if it was to the point where he had to stop he would.
Wow! That looks delicious!! I LOVE crab!!
WHAT A AMAZING VIDEO SO BEAUTIFUL THANK YOU SO MUCH
I really enjoyed watching this video Joseph.
The colors are amazing!
This adventure is awesome!.
I really like your diving videos. I’m born in Finland, live in Sweden and for some reason I thought that it would look about the same there in the water since we are almost at the same latitude but it is so much more colour and different species there. The best part is seeing you so happy ❤
