    Guests introduction at 5:00
    Hear Rutger Kortenhorst at 14:00
    Panel discussion begins at 21:00
Game Launch with creators at 1:35:00
    Game purchase link: thotpotdesigns...
Panel Discussion was followed by launch of Devabhaasha - the worlds only Sanskrit card game on Aug 6th 2022 at Bhartiya Vidya Bhavan, Bengaluru. This game concept is among the winners of the Toycathon award from the Government of India as part of a nationwide toy competition in 2021. It uses visuals, patterns and colours along with gamification based on Sanskrit grammar to accomplish it. Grammar is invisible in the game - you can play it like any card game with zero knowledge of Sanskrit and before you know, you will begin to know the basics of the language”

Who says depression is lethal? Company decides the depression. Young people like me and the audiences who choose a company like this, i don't think we will be the victim of depression as discussion like this instills abundant curiosity that your brain don't get time to think about sorrows and lament rather ruminate about amazing thing our culture blesses us with... 👏👏👏👏

True. One who learns to be content will rarely be suffer from depression. I’ve seen friends and family go through this phase. No amount of talking about contentment helps them because it is never enough however small it may be. Regardless of the outcome you’ll suffer. One is bound to suffer if they do not get what they wished for. Or, get into the vicious cycle of what next after this. Contentment is the key from such self inflicting suffering.

Here is how culture became cool for me: it proved its utility to me.
Example 1: Right from school, I used to have anxiety issues. People with general anxiety know how it is - there is peace only in sleep, so you feel like what's the point of being awake at all.
One day I read this line in Shankaracharya's Nitinidhi: "Bhay ka nirodha apramad hai."
Let me break it down for you: Fear (to be anxious means to be afraid) is negated by Apramad.
    Pramad: Jo Prama ka daman kare;
Prama: Prapt adhikaar aur dayitva ka bodh.
So, Pramad: Behaviour that lowers your consciousness about your power and responsibilities.
Therefore, Apramad: being conscious of each moment and how we spend our time towards the fulfillment of our responsibilities is the end of anxiety.
The journey of life has been unbelievably positive and strengthening ever since.
Mothers keep saying from the beginning, "Be responsible." But articulation matters.
    Example 2:
What is the purpose of life?
Again from Nitinidhi: Human life operates on three levels - Spiritual (Adhyatmic), Scientific (Vaigyanic) and Behavioral (Vyavaharik).
In the beginning, most people do not have access to the Adhyatmik and Vaigyanik, so just consider the Vyavaharik.
The highest goal of human life on the behavioral level is to sustain all living creatures. Each person is born indebted to his/her parents, society, ancestors and Praktiti.
One's efforts should be aimed at their well-being.
When you perfect this, the way for Bhagwadprapti on the Adhyatmik dharatal will show itself.
    Example 3:
    Value and confidence.
On the vyavaharik dharatal, all human being are valued for only one thing: karyasiddhi ke prayojanon ko kriyanvit karna.
    So, execute winning strategies.
The reason we love to hear Sai is because he does this so well. He has been able to bring clarity about topics related to our identity like no one else has been able to.
It's a great service he has done to millions of people who watch him, and to our Samskriti.
I can say now that I'm proud to be born in the cradle of Sanatana Dharma and Bharata. Let's take this forward.

that's why others will struggle to uproot us.
32:00 Dharma has played imp role in spread of our culture, using sanskrit as a way of forging unity,
He uses our two Epic s ramayan n Mahabharat as examples that every bhartiya knows them, n draws from them.

Ours is the rare culture that can claim that it's fountain of all knowledge,
n has the ability dominate other cultures, but chooses not to,
Is mark of knowledge n power coupled with humility, which is unique to us.

47:30 sai says that making culture cool is post 1947 thing, that we r struggling to build ecosystem,or narrative why?
Bc substance of massage, yr conviction, yr willing ness to put yr self out there, matters,he cites
Swami Vivekananda who went to the west n revolutionized it, door to door lecture, without any tech or internet to aid him.
49:00 he talks ABT deracinated hinos, who believe we hv no value to offer that every thing ABT our culture is negative,n
Then counters it by citing that why Mughal n colonizer came here if we had nothing to offer.
50:28 he further proves it by saying that there r Roman coins in padmanabhan temple.
52:00 talks ABT our ganndu supreme milords on firecracker ban , that they laughed at Diwali origin scholer ly research ( by Bhandarkar,) j sai presented in the court,(what a banch of a holes)
Imp point- Unless we develop sense of history n identity,
it's impossible to create societal confidence.
    1:00:00
Talks abt Israel society n the lecture he gave there,
That they use tech to practice rituals
Mean while our dumfuk hino s r trying to make shradh cool 🤣
1:07:23 rituals r codified knowledge, it constantly reminds of u of yr roots,
    N also brings discipline.
    1:18:56

The problem is not ENGLISH LANGUAGE -- the trouble is ENGLISH culture -- Vembu when he spoke in English did we feel he is an Englishman ? no.. Hence let us not drop the connecting language english completely and let us drop English culture -- I see a distinct difference f treatment of English language is South Vs North of India -- A lutyen Delhi person always quotes European onsucure poet or some writer ( which generally no audience will know ) just to show off that person knows lot of things -- A person from south when he speaks in English he gives example of Villages / sometimes MAHABHARATHA / RAMAYANA etc.. Hence language itself is not a problem its the culture that makes teh difference

    • @bharatpandit4796

@@sureshpolali8685 I would tend to agree with you. But, mastery over English language as opposed to Sanskrit or other Indian languages is mark of having achieved excellence! Earlier generations of Indians, including those in North India were not so cut off from their civilizational inheritance thanks to family atmosphere that was still seeped in traditions of India except those like Nehrus/ ICS/ Army background who were virtually brought up in a western cultural ecosystem and their western orientation was further reinforced by missionary schools and the boarding school culture. It is actually the globalisation and economic liberalisation that has thrown open gates too wide for things western from food, attire, music, films and pitted India against Bharat which has been under sociological pressure to conform to western modes of behaviour. Wokism has added to this situation, in my view. It is rare for our intellectuals that includes judges, teachers, journalists and writers to draw upon our indigenous intellectual, scholastic resources, because they have lost the connect with it due to relegation of Sanskrit.

@@bharatpandit4796 My daughter , 22 years , studied in top notch English medium convent school and then TOP ranking engineering college computer science ( Rank student )-- always quotes from MAHABHARATHA as she has read MAHABHARATHA more than me.. Incidentally she got CBSE Merit certificate ( issued to all India top 0.1% ) on English subject in 12th std.. We are down to earth traditional family but we speak English rather well. I studied Sanskrit little bit and can understand as majority of our language KANNADA words are drawn from Sanskrit .. My family has many PUROHITs and some are RAJA PUROHIT with authority over Rituals and its meaning .. Its all how one develops respect for our culture .. If I down grade our culture being very traditional and not modern etc.. how can our children develop respect.. It all starts at home with Parents -- If parents feel some what heighted level of social status because of their English affiliation then that is a different matter -- That is what I meant when i said Lutyens Delhi culture. Speaking in English alone, per se, should not create different social levels and that is what we should promote

One important task anyone can do is practice the culture you know with your children and explain its significance so that they can be the torch bearers of our wonderful Bharathiya culture, be it in the form of food, arts, architecture, music, literature, clothing, festivals and celebrations, poojas, etc. Learn to be content with yourself and your surroundings both living and non-living whether human or not. How to make Indian culture cool? Having observed the way culture emerges abroad, I have the following points to make -
    1) The oldest format prevailing in successful cultures globally is traditional alcoholic beverages, mostly in moderation, but sometimes in excess also. The way this works in the larger context is utilisation of farm produce that would otherwise go waste, mostly by the stay-at-home people who can look after it, and maybe generate some income too. Look no further than North-East and Indigenous India as well as the recent success of upscale feni in Goa.
    2) The next oldest format is aggressively pushing religious functions as cultural opportunities, with a full-on commercial aspect especially when the target customers are foreigners, and not being made to feel guilty about it. Again, I see this all over the world, and was recently at an expensive sit-down dinner post wedding held in the grounds of a Church in Spain.
    3) Technological advancement of cultural events is the third most important part, and that goes beyond random LED lights and ultra-loud speakers mounted on tractor-trailers, these have to be show-cases of our technology. I will give just one example - at a small railway station on the Hubbali-Bengaluru sector, early in the morning, soft flute music playing through the all-weather speakers (unbranded, sadly) position with the coach position indicators. Asking around, I was told that the local staff had got these done by the local engineering college, thus no brand name.
    4) More non-Bollywood, that's for sure, but then what replaces it - and not just movies from the Peninsular parts of India? One answer is making vegetarian healthy food "cool", whilst keeping the costs low. Already, you can see the "cool" cycling and jogging crowd gathering at these food options, what is needed is some sort of corporate help to make them "cool" with other groups also. An example would be - targetted Udupi options at music shows, especially Western Music, all over India.
    5) There was a day and age when we could decorate our personal vehicles with cultural motifs. That is now, for various reasons, banned. Nothing, however, prevents us from making the interiors of our personal vehicles cool. Our truck drivers are already doing so - and this is not just stickers. I have no idea how to take this forward but shall come up with some examples soon, for example, the inner roof lining of personal cars.
    6) Sanskrit and cool is a difficult one, just like Latin and cool, but here I seek guidance - can a legal lexicon of Latin terms used be made with equivalents in Sanskrit?
Good luck. The video recording shown above could be in three parts -
    a) opening remarks, lamp lighting et al
    b) the main part
    c) the closing parts
    That would also be cool.

Try to make it completely Indianised because the moment you involve outsiders, most of the times it becomes their property/authority ; eg- Arabindo Ashram - most of the minds now are inclined/influenced by French management/donations/contributions. Some duffers in Tamil Nadu who hate Samskrit will understand how they are deprived of the greatest language themselves and prevent the youngsters of that state also from learning such a precious language!
The reason why it is not spoken by common people,is that it may not be polluted by bad and dirty words that normally come out of these people while in hatred, in anger or in arguments.

Aryan Invasion - should we even concede to it for argument sake ! Raj Tarangini (approx 1200 CE) says there were pancha dravidas (Gujarati, Mahrati, Telugu, Kannada & Tamil and Pancha Gowda (Saraswat, Kanyakobja, Mythili, Utkala & Bengali) and makes no mention of ARYAs as a category of people. Arya was a learned & cultured person & not a race. Race is a 18th century European idea. Rama, Krishna, Nakula etc, addressed as Arya putra were definitely dark skinned !

At 35:00 Sai Deepak says -- Indians tend to underplay our achievements due to cultural ethos - So true -- we never use the famous MNC terms WHAT IS INIT FOR ME and self advertisement during performance appraisal .. we Indians treat our bosses like our guru and expect him or her to know our achievement - Unlike in European MNC and American MNC -- I have personal experience on this front having working in American MNC for last 15 years

If you wanna make culture cool start by not clapping every 5 sec, It becomes very annoying. The Irish gentlemen know he is being loved and respected by Indians, no need to overdo clapping as it will cut the flow of the talk.

With all the greatness of Hindu Dharma and the past greatness of Bharat, we cannot dismiss the status quo: dirty; polluted; lack of pride; allowing invasions; distortions and the continual theft of much of the Hindu/Yoga Dharma.

If India has to flourish it must first learn to survive. We can't survive with third rate, western notions of culture, education, medicine jurisprudence etc. We may have to abandon the Constitution itself. It has served no purpose at all, and has created all the problems facing the country. No matter what the cost, shut all western ideas and notions and live according to the Vedas and our past heritage. Sounds preposterous. Yes it is, not impossible, First things first. Abandon India, and call it Bharat, by making it A Hindu Nation. No place for conversion of any kind, those who want to leave, please go and do Bharat a favour. Jai Hind

Let this be a beginning dialogue to make Sanskrit, deva bhasha, the official language of India!! Lot of respect for Sridhar Vembu and Sai Deepak. I also agree with Sridhar ji that service to unfortunate one is important which is essence of Hinduism. However he says in schools all subjects should be taught in native languages-he has no understanding of real issues with this. Army-Airforce children move with their fathers every 3 years and if the father dies these children move to civilian life and join local schools. the system of Hindi as main language along with English that CBSE had in place had been a life saver for these children of martyrs. Have you experienced a life like that Mr Vembu? Has anyone in your family given their life for the country in defense forces? I was an army child and THIS system that you talk about that-- children MUST learn all subjects in their own native language is a stupid Idea. Example-A tamil child born in Nagaland who moved all during his/her elementary life in regions of north lndia lets say loses her/his dad and moves finally to TamilNadu -how will he/she manage if only Tamil is used?- you have any concern for that? You may have long living parents but many children become poor after the dad's death- people like you with lofty unpractical ideas just make the system more difficult for children. Same thing with NRI's when they come back the children are forced to go to international schools because Indian schools have no provision for them? Indians troubled by reservation in country try to make some living abroad for their old and poor parents but they never feel welcomed back because of people like you talking for all. First talk about real issues-didn't you give CM Stalin relief money very well knowing his govt is corrupt and he is anti-brahmin(even though you are a brahmin). Sai Deepak talks and walks the talk and works for the society but you talk about going on pilgrimage with other swamis. Having so much money your contribution is not as much as of SaiDeepak or TR Ramesh. Please do not parrot the dravidian ideology of isolating country on native languages. What is important is that Sanskrit is made compulsory so all societies have something in common. Let us all be sankrits rather than be tamils or punjabis.

There is no need for any religion and religious practices at all. All man made notions of education, knowledge, truth, consciousness, etc etc are tools for mundane existence of the body alone. We are an atma, a part of paramatma. Pure nature and nothing else. Thats moksha the eternal bliss. Jai Hind

You should have included the irish guy's point of view as how he sees indian culture and ritual as a westerner ..also he mentioned a imp point the way the devbasha is and pronounced..devbasha made to know and discover their culture thsts indianees ..search for true nature purpose and being in and from every thing like health wealth people mobey science .. .also being the change despite the circumstances....the modt imp thing i took from the above disc is..right of balance (not physical right )..thats what indianness is ..you be yourself..with the indian touch..
BE YOURSELF BY EMBRACING AND DISCOVRRING WAY OFVLIFE IS HOW WE SPREAD OUR CULTURE
