really like how the tracks in canto v revolving around the sea (the port, the actual sea itself) are all this weirdly calm, but yet eerie tracks, perfectly encapsulates the mental state of ishmael and the tensions between her and dante. and the knowing that you'll have to face the whale Ishmael faced.

Whats so amazing is that its not necessarily the whale that ishmael had ptsd about, its about the regret and betrayal at the hands of ahab. The tension is from her trying to come to grips with the fact that she will face ishmael again

Canto V's ambient soundtracks really support the nautical feel of the story.
This one in particular reminds me of a number of other Lovecraft-themed videogames. Love it.

this vaguely reminds me of a dream i had a long time ago (it isnt related to limbus but i kinda wanna write abt it)
in said dream, the whole world was flooded, and there was no sun- no idea what happened to it, but i was totally alone, floating on my bed like it was a raft- there was no one else around either, just me and the somber glow of orange streetlamps under a dark sky... the only sound around was that of the water-
then i find myself in a house on my little bed-raft, and i hear a kid crying- they were maybe somehwere around 6-9 years old?? i dont know too much about taking care of kids, but i find them (thankfully the water in the house wasnt as deep as the rest of the world) and bring them onto my bed raft. they're still crying, so i give them a hug and hum a song for them as theyre holding onto me. the song sounds melancholic and almost depressing, yet also like a lullaby, kind of like this song- there are tears in my eyes too now...
and then we fall asleep together... and my dream ends

Interesting dream. They do say dreams are a reflection of your subconscious mind, maybe you have some turbulence in your life?? waves and floods are displeasant things which you can't control.....hmm.. I don't know what the child means... or the lullaby.
P.S: Funny how I've gotten weird dreams but none of em had anything to do with large bodies of water despite my longing for them.
