Finally got it up and running. The only delays we had was because we realized we needed some extra parts (I’ll list that below) ruclips.net/user/postUgkxihMYiJNXcHdbH-7ihymsLz61l7jVyb5O . So we have a loft where our current hvac just couldn’t seem to keep cool during the summer. We have been using a window unit since we bought this house over 6 years ago (all the houses in this neighborhood were built in the 80’s and majority of the houses built like ours use a window unit). I hate window units because they are just so noisy and the one we had really only cools one side of the loft. I had contemplated upgrading our current HVAC, but with all the rising prices these days, it would take years before saving up enough to do that. With the advice of my father-in-law (used to run an HVAC business), he recommended we get an inverter instead. We thought we bought everything we needed, but there were just a few other parts we didn’t anticipate needing (which is what caused most of our delay). My friend and father-in-law did all the work to get it installed and running and now we have nice cool air circulating nicely throughout the entire loft. It is very quiet and even the outside unit is much quieter than our main HVAC unit. Saved ourselves thousands getting this.

Is there any difference in energy usage while using 5 indoor unit on a multisplit vs using 5 split ac's also what is the cost comparison in a similar setup ?

multi-split are definitely more efficient than having 5 split type running together. I think the benefit can be shown when you are not all the indoor unit easier for the compressor to function.

In terms of energy efficiency, Daikin has an extra energy class in some models, and in terms of durability, both have a very low service rate.

Sir, last year i bought a 1.5ton, 3star, dual inverter LG split AC and it was the most expensive of its category. Is it possible that LG people will come and convert the AC to a Multi split for another room? and where can I buy another indoor unit for that purpose? Thanks in advance.

Unfortunately not, it is a single split model, in order to be able to add an internal unit, it was necessary to be of the multisplit type, where you had several connection on the outside. An example of a 1.5 ton LG air conditioner is the MU3R19, which can connect up to 3 indoor units.

@@ellenv2983 Depending on the brand and the outdoor unit, some have a minimum connectable capacity, but LG and Daikin can connect only one indoor unit. So the answer is yes, you can.

I will suggest you daikin for cooling performance and company services. Daikin is little bit costly from LG but daikin is best
