- Lakers need to improve the roster and with Lakers News of LeBron resigning with Lakers Nation, Lakers need to pull off a Lakers Trade to properly upgrade. Lakers still have a ton of options in the trade market but gotta get something done.

They losing out on all the potential good pieces because they scared to get rid of Reaves when he’s inconsistent also D’lo did way more for the lakers last season then Austin Reaves . Only thing that’s keeping him there is his potential because they don’t think he reached his full potential . After 25-26 you should be at your prime/full potential . You can probably trade him for 2 solid pieces but rob Pelinka not strategic he want to sit around and lose out on everything that can get us to at least then 3rd or 4th seed . I like the Lavine move especially if it comes with a 1st. Yes he’s had injuries in the past but he also hasn’t played with players of the caliber like Bron and A.D. where they all can share the weight I think that eases the chances of him getting injured
There’s no way the Bulls will give the Lakers a first.
Trading for Lavine would be a bad desperation move by the Lakers. 43 plus million for the next 3 years is an easy pass. And injury prone at that.

How many picks does it take to get Walker Kessler or Wendell Carter Jr? Because giving up 1 first for Lopez seems crazy but necessary. So if we would need to give up 1 first for Lopez, we are better off going all in on Kessler or Carter Jr imo even if it costs more than 1 first. Kessler seems the most realistic because we can remove protection from the pick we already traded to Utah, so that's an extra asset we can give up in a Kessler deal. For me, Lopez would be the 3rd and final option. But we do need to get 1 of the 3.

People are forgetting, the Lakers didnt blow the team up. Dallas wasnt given a chance last year, but they made the Finals. Which is heavily against the trend of Finals participants being predictable.

But 2 first round picks won't be enough. I think Golden State is offering 1 unprotected and 2 protected first rounders. I think they should get LaVine and that first rounder the Bulls are offering. They would have to offer more unprotected firsts than the Warriors.

It does suck that we didnt get anyone but it is true the players are out getting the best pay for the best situation for them. KCP 2 chips getting paid in Orlando is the best situation. CP3 wasnt gonna get that contract anywhere else and many others. We are asking player to take pay cuts, while in cali with high taxes, also with lesser chances of competing for a title. Interesting conversation but any trade the Lakers make will have as much chance of making them worse as making them better. Any so-called fit is uncertain until you try it. Lakers need health and luck. The teams that have played together the longest and go through the season and playoffs in good health will likely prevail. Trades for injury prone players is a recipe for disaster.
