gnome classic panel + unity launcher in ubuntu 12.04 precise

sudo apt-get install gnome-session-fallback unity-2d-launcher
choose the Gnome Classic session from the login screen, then run the command unity-2d-shell
note there is currently a bug where the launcher auto-hide stops working after certain workspace/task switching (can be seen in the video)
