Melted these bars this week. Your review was spot on with my experience. The candied apple is by far the best scent, apple gave it some freshness and the Carmel/sugar was a beautiful sweet supporting note 9/10. Medium intensity and throw is okay. Love this bar and will reorder. The churros bar was the next best and is nice, very strong and lasting with a good throw 7/10. It starts with a strong sweet cinnamon smell and then the donut dough follows latter. The roasted almond bar is very strong; it’s sweet, nutty but also has a slight burnt/salt smell; 5/10, I’m going to mix it with other bars to soften the smell. Still have some hope in this bar. Fruit/waffle bar is a bit of a messy scent for me, I don’t feel the notes really complement each other. It’s a strong scent and throws well, but the smell not for me 3/10. I was quite disappointed with the cinnamon bun, was not pleasant to melt at all. Threw it very quickly in the bin; 1/10. Overall 25/50 score for me, a couple of good bars but overall an average collection.
I’m not a big gourmand fragrance person, but I got this because I was placing an order and I wanted to try scents out of my wheelhouse. I actually like them. I do get jalapeño on cold with the Churro, but it is pleasant to me while warming and that pepper smell goes away. These will be once in a while melts for me since it’s not my usual types, but I’m happy I got the set.🍬 P.S.-I find comparisons to other bars helpful when deciding what to buy. I also find cold sniff impressions helpful, because by time there’s warm reviews I could have already bought it and if there’s anything particularly off about a bar fragrance I would not have known beforehand without cold impressions and it could have saved me from buying it.
Things can go either way once warmed and personally I’ll try every time…mainly because I consider it my “job” as a consultant / RUclipsr, but also because it’s just wax to me. No big deal if it ends up being a dislike, at least I tried. For people that don’t want to take risks or have a budget it’s nice to hear feedback, especially from people in the comments, so thank you for weighing in. Very much appreciated!!!
I don’t Get any Jalapeños from the Churro bar like most ppl. I’m glad! I like it on cold and the Fruity Hazelnut one! The others are ok. The Cinnamon Bun is the best CB they have ever had IMO.
I’m currently warming the Churro bar. Your review gave me the courage to do it. I watch several reviews and all said this one had an off note described as savory vegetable soup all the way to jalapeños with chips!!! To my nose …. Those notes were missing. But I was terrified to have a horrible warming experience. So… after seeing your cold reviews … I fired up my back porch warmers (the watering can discontinued now and the lovely Lord of the rings one) and the scent it’s exquisite!!! Strong (I have the whole bar among those two warmers😂😂😂) but I’m loving it!!! Thank you!!!😂❤
Things with scent can be SO variable for people! Just last week I had a horrible time with Butterscotch Brittle. I must be smelling things with that one that Scentsy didn’t intend because they wouldn’t release a scent like that if most people smelled what I smelled. I’m so happy Churro So Sweet worked out for you and I’m eager to try it myself.

I really enjoyed all my bars on cold. I watched other reviews afterwards and was surprised by the different responses to the Churro bar. So I warmed a cube last night and it smells wonderful. It kind of reminded me a little of Scentsy, Cinnamon Vanilla. I found no off putting notes on cold and after warming it. Great video 😊❤

You are so lucky that you didn’t get that off note in Churro So Sweet. My bar was so bad that I was going to throw it out-it was the first bar that I melted, and I didn’t get the off note on warm 😅. I also melted Candy Apple Delight, and was pleasantly surprised at how much I liked it. I will pick up another one when I place my next order. The presentation was done really well. I was waiting on the edge of my seat for your reaction and you were like yea it’s good, just like a churro. It’s been quite entertaining to watch the first sniffs of this bar 😂 Hopefully you don’t get that off note
No off note to you on the bottom of the churro bar? Mine smells oddly spicy, almost like a pepper or jalapeño. I'm going to leave these sit awhile before warming but look forward to hearing your thoughts.
I could smell a touch of it when I re-sniffed, (after hearing that complaint). Like a faint deep fried jalapeño. Maybe some bars smell strongly of that and others don’t? I have a few sets so I’ll smell each one and see if they are similar
Hi Patricia, please please please why are consultants referencing another bar or candle to describe a scent, it really doesn’t help me to understand what you’re experiencing since I’ve never smelt those other fragrances 😢 from Malika U.K. 🇬🇧
So sorry - these are only brief cold sniff thoughts. I try to do a better job explaining on my official reviews after I warm each scent that I post each Tuesday. In those videos I try to explain what I smell generally, as well as compare to other scents as people have told me both ways are helpful.
As someone who has tried a fair amount of Scentsy bars, I appreciate when consultants reference another bar. It lets me know if I should buy it or skip it. Spooky but Sweet was described by many consultants as a mix between Gimme Candy and Scary Good. I really dislike both of those bars so I knew to skip it. If I only went by the scent description, I may have bought it and been pretty disappointed. I can definitely see where you’re coming from and how that would be frustrating. That is why I appreciate that Patricia does both! She is so good at describing a scent while also comparing it to other bars 😊

My Churro bar had the jalapeno scent on cold, but it was actually very nice warmed.

I'm most interested in Frosted Almond Dreams. I love almond scents. Many consultants are getting jalapenos and corn chips from Churro So Sweet though.

I only smelled it faintly after filming and reading feedback. Might be just one of those bars. Like Starburst Sky and the ashtray tendency for some.

Might just be some smell it and others don’t. I didn’t smell it until the second sniff, and that’s after I read about it.

I do not like churro bar dirt like to me. I love candy apple can smell a dark rich caramel.
And cinnamon bun bash is ok yet to try almond one

My cold sniff videos are pretty short because I always say “it’s all about the warming.”Sometimes I wonder if I should even do cold sniff videos.
That is the biggest help for me. As someone who knows many candles and wax scents, that is the best way to get an accurate idea of what the scent is.
As someone who knows a lot of the other bars, I really find it helpful.
