Thank you, Christelle! But a king, I am not. I am just a humble minstrel with a fife in one hand and a mouth box in the other, that's willing to play for a shilling or two or a mere crust of bread. Great vids on your site, Christelle. Excellent playing and variety! We shall meet in Sacramento! Cheers!
The thing with good harp players, they are blues players. When they play Irish reels the tradition goes into the bucket. It's a reel with a blues accent.
That situation it makes me laught, because your harmonica sounds very close to an Uilleanpipe. But the great difference is; the harmonica is cheapest and portable than an Uilleanpipe Set. Great work, this inspires me to keep wearing my harmonica in my poket.
An XB40? Paddy Richter? So ready blowbend on hole six happening in there? Wonderful playing! Seems to be Gallagher's (Frolics) Jig into the reels: The Dawn Reel and The Gravel Walks :)
Fantastic!!! Love it!! Is your harp Standard tuned or has it been altered? (Paddy Tuning) or are you just bending the lower notes? Keep the tunes coming!!
Love this video,im trying to learn some irish reel jigs,do you have any tabs for this you would share with me and is it a normal diatonic or a slide harp?
That's outstanding James. Good grief, I love my XB40's. still trying to transfer my tongue skills to these harps...getting there! what key are you there? Cheers!
Thanks! I'm using a Hohner XB-40 in G with the 3 hole blow tuned up a step(Paddy tuning).
