- Super Mario RPG! So happy that the game is finally getting the love it deserves! My early childhood 😭 So excited for another generation to experience Yoko Shimomura's music! I still wasn't prepared to upload a Tears of the Kingdom cover, and I got tired of the lack of uploads so I used the Nintendo Direct as a reason to do a quick upload. In fact, I think I'm going to supplement my Tears of the Kingdom piano cover fix this summer with Super Mario RPG uploads. I don't know if it's the lack patterns in the music, but TotK takes some time to learn!
I love this whimsical piece. Shimomura has some incredible and catchy melodies supplemented by some thoughtful and calculated harmonies. When you heard this theme in game you knew something was about to go down! The whole game has memorable themes, and now I have an excuse to learn and play some nostalgia from my childhood!:)

This sounds so much like an mario rpg its like the definition of one. I’m excited to play the game for the first time when the remake drops.
I can’t speak for it playing it first time as an adult but as a child this game was nothing but bliss 🥹
@@RyanZPianoGuy have you played the Mario and Luigi games? Those are peak. I find partners in time to be one of Nintendos best games they ever made.
@@mt2r-music I’ve played Superstar Saga and I still like Legend of the Seven Stars better. I don’t know how much nostalgia plays into that opinion, but now I’m invested to hear yours so let me know in 5 months or so! I did find Superstar very enjoyable though!

Thumbnail features Shy Guy despite shy guys not having any relation to Smithy
He made some fake shy guys. First time you hear the theme you see shy guys bouncing around the mushroom kingdom. I used to have the thumbnail with Mack, but I thought more people would recognize shy guys

Its a crime that they never made another mario rpg
I always felt that way growing up. I bet they wanted to, but it prolly got tricky contract-wise with Square Enix
Paper Mario in a way was a successor to Mario RPG.
Aren't they making a new one?
They are remaking the old one, hence why I felt inspired to learn this real quick!
If it’s any consolation, the original director of the original has said he wants a direct sequel to Mario RPG to be the final game he directs before retiring. Hope that gives you some hope for another.
