You have no idea how much this means to me. The original meant so much to me when I was a child and I've tried to make my own one for years. This was literally my favorite video on RUclips when I was like 9 years old and thought it would be very cool if this is gonna be remade with better look and better animation. Seeing the video actually got remade makes a 20 years old man cry. This video is gonna be awesome :)

I remember watching the OG when it was uploaded to RUclips by Chris initially. This really just goes to show how far you've come as an animator, and all the friends you've made along the way. Great job.
The animation is so fluid, the vocalists are great, the new and added lyrics keep the spirit of the original... Everybody did an amazing job on this remake!

New lyrics? The only changes I heard were just the correction of English subtleties like "make you look lame" to makes you look lame.
@@SonyUSAA line from Exor got changed from '(hard r slur) joes' to 'starless joes. Peach had an extra line in her verse with 'Let me escape,' etc.

There's so much to love in this remake. One tiny detail I like is the snifit with a coffee cup during the princess's new "Let me escape" line, calling back to the original video's "coffee break" where that line was just silent.
This was already something putting a smile on my face but then you went and did an English version of the song in the Japanese commercial and I ascended.
To have the voices of young Joseph Joestar and Jolyne Cujoh be a part of this remake is...bizarrely awesome!
The inclusion of some big names in the VA industry is so cool

God, this made me so happy.... I was obsessed with the original in middle school in a way that had an absolute vice grip on me. This is so well done and it unlocked memories I had completely forgotten about.

I Sang this in Elementary school over a decade ago thinking this was the most awesome song ever, holding up class, and embarrassing myself I went home still enjoying the Game despite the embarrassment of that singular day.

When this song got to 0:22, I didn't know what to do with myself! That level of awesome was just too high...higher than Geno's maze!
this song was a legend in my childhood. I remember getting the game on Wii virtual console hoping to hear this original music in the game. Even through it wasn’t like the music video. I was still happy, I really should dust off my old Wii and play this game again while I save up for the remake

I loved the original Rawest Forest video, but this remake is very fun in its own right. Though now that I've seen playthroughs of YiiK: A Postmodern RPG I cannot un-hear Alex's voice singing this and it's surreal...
Also I thought the "pay off all my credit cards" was a weird new addition but apparently it's from an earlier version of this song (one that predates Rawest Forest). Who knew?
This needs so much more attention like the old videos, such amazing memories.

such a great game, crazy how much style and how many scenarios they pack into the adventure. And it's not needlessly long like many modern rpgs, doesn't just fill the time or give you grindy quests to try to claim "it's a 60 hour adventure" or the like. Quality over needless filler content is a win especially as I get older, less time to be able to dedicate to it

@honeythe1st Conisdering Super Mario RPG has been remade, I can see a remake of the commercial happening. Kind of like what companies do with other remakes. They remake the commercials too for good measure.

Rawest Forest was one of the first fandom related things I remember watching. Genuinely, this is the catalyst. It’s so wild to watch a remade version 10+ years later.

It all comes full circle. Rawest Forest played a big part of the Mario RPG revolution in the cry out for Geno for Smash. This goes all the way back to the early days of RUclips. Unbelievable feeling.

@@CapitalQ Actually no. According to the description of their upload of the original video on RUclips, it was originally posted on Newgrounds in 2007 by which time RUclips had already been around for two years.
The original song was on new grounds before the animation. It was a robot voice song with simpler lyrics.
