- Hi there railfans.
Today awe have 2 locations and 3 trains. actually 2 trains but 1 is double. Not sure if I was chasing it or it was chasing me.
It's regarding the train with #5203 in the lead. First seen at 12:44pm at Naperville and later at 2:48pm at La Grange. Now I took the Metro for Naperville to La Grange and I'm pretty sure I didn't see it on the way to La Grange so where did it hide or come from???
Here the engines in order of appearance.
7375 GE ES44DC
600 GE AC44C4M
5199 GE Dash 9
5203 GE Dash 9
1059 GE Dash 9
602 GE AC44C4M (DPU)
That's it for today. Thanks for checking in and have an awesome rest of your day.
The manifest with BNSF5203 leading might have been held out of BNSF’s Cicero Yard somewhere between west of Downers Grove and Naperville on M2. Sometimes if a train needs to be held out of the yard it’ll be held on M2 between those two villages/cities since there are no grade crossings
@@MetraBNSF I have considered that scenario as well but I rode the Metra from Naperville to La Grange and I can’t recall passing it. Just wondering if they have other options than to hold the trains short of the yard. But maybe I did pass the train and I just didn’t notice or my short term memory loss kicked in again…
Thanks for the comment 👍🏻
@@FreightTrainsUncut Holding on M2 really is the only option. You probably passed the train and didn’t notice it
@@MetraBNSF you are probably right. it's hard to miss though on the track right next to the train. I must have been day dreaming...
