Why is are my ribs splitting when I do this?

Thanks enormous for this! I tried to bend some test wood (2.5 mm thick for viol) and it hardly bends, I can’t use the metal band because the would wouldn’t be that flexible to bend. My iron (for cello size) is pretty hot though..

I ordered and paid for a bending strap from your company a year ago and never received it. The tracking never worked, I could not log in. I sent at least two emails inquiring but never received any response. Your products look nice, however, not impressed with your service and don’t like throwing money away.
