The reason why one of the controllers didn’t work is one was originally turned on as d-input and the other as x-input. How you turn the controller on for the first time matters with some devices. A quick look at the instructions will solve this.
I bought this device for work. I work at gold mine driving trucks and when my truck is down I can be sitting for up to 12 hours doing nothing. Excited for it to come in.
Great review here, one thing is that ppl forget that android has its own library of games that should be noted and are playable here with the rg353v. Modern classics like Hollow Knight and Dead Cells.
2G ram is a big reason to get the V over the VS... especially for PS1, Dreamcast etc. Also, the VS doesn't have touch screen like the V which you'll need for DS games. 👍

i disagree with recommending the vs over the v, android on the v makes pc streaming accessible. and you can use retroarch through your pc and that opens up more titles to play that the anbernic cant handle by itself like god of war but great review man, maybe you have a defective button, mine has not booted android on accident, but that may be a memory card connection issue when booting it i would think
Fanstastic video🎉 just ordered mine today does it arrive in less then 7 days if shipped from US to US bcz im travellinh back to my home not in the US....
I just got one of these they are great I went for the black V version .. the Bluetooth option for earbuds are on the android side, no option for earbuds on the Linux end, unfortunately
Hey @Tech By Leon 👋 Thanks for the great review! Not sure if I missed it but is it possible to play e.g. Mario Kart (N64 version) with two players on this device? Or any other games like Mario Party? I am thinking of connecting it via HDMI to a monitor, connect a bluetooth controller to the RG353V for the second player and use the RG353V by myself. Or even better connect a second bluetooth controller simultaneously.
I have not figured out BT on the Linux side. But I know on the Android side you can hook BT up. I perfer sticking to the stock OS on Linux side. I was able to hook up 8BitDo Sn30 Pro controller via usb-c and it works right out of the box. when I tried other controllers like xbox, ps5, nintendo Switch Pro controller, none of it work. Hope that helps.
Does it heat up when gaming? Especially graphic intensive games? Which part does it heat up? I have a switch lite and i regret buying it due to the heating on the rightside ug the device. It's uncomfortable to play. Had to buy a grip for it.
I was wondering if it would be possible to back up both stock sd cards upon unit arrival and use them until they possibly stop working and then buy new sd cards and transfer files over then. Thanks
When you said that you swapped out the SD cards, did you Just had to put the box sd card into sd reader on your pc then Copy all data and then paste it onto your new sd card and everything works fine?? And if so does the same go for the Rom SD card? If i want more Games simply drag and drop onto the second Game sd card?
I used a cloning software for the main card that has the OS on it. For the Rom Card I just drag and drop while making sure that the directory is the same.
I am on the mac when I was doing this. I use the Disk Ultility that come with the mac and create an image from the SD. I also recommend ChronoSync and it will do the same as well.
@@techbyleon on their website I say a Bluetooth logo in the description sucks that option isn’t available maybe in a future model they will implement this and thank you for your response

Bluetooth audio available on the dual operating system version on the Android side.

Very true!
I'm curious if you know this or not, but I'll ask anyway though... Do you know if you can play call of duty mobile on the RG353V?
Really nice review bro! I ordered the VS version.
Same here, can’t wait to receive it soon !! How do you like it so far?
Did y’all order it from the official website or from Amazon ?
@@marcosordaz6789you can order from Temu . I’m can actually buy it for $60 but still on the edge about it
You will have no android. Just saying…
the v has 2gb of ram, the vs has 1gb of ram. that is a massive difference for anyone looking to play psx!

Bluetooth support is only on the Android side. No Bluetooth on the Linux side of this device.

JelOs says they now support Bluetooth audio have you tried that yet?

Nice review! Enjoyed 😀
S2k in GT on the go. 222nd like. I'm officially sold with the 353v
Would u prefer this one with dual joy stick or without any joy stick? Does joy stick really useful in this device?
I think the Joystick is a must have since it can emulate PSX, Dreamcast and N64
I’ve been doin research on em for a while rg351v has free Wi-Fi can play anywhere the others don’t come with Wi-Fi and that’s my biggest issue
They have Wi-Fi just not built in supported Wi-Fi
Android OS is actually better, you can customize much much more and add your own games and directories and emulators.
Does it have smart view option?
great explanation!
Thank you for your video. Can you briefly explain how you connected the 8BitDo controller to the Linux system.
Wich SD card do you recommend for games?
i have been using both the Samsung Pro Plus & PNY Premier-X both 512gb. THey have been working good with no issue.
how do you transfer the data from the stock micro sd card (came with the handheld) to a new one?
Just use a cloning software.
What a great review
i think android would be a good idea to keep only for android games like call of duty mobile
And the duck station emulator for PS1 games.
With android u can play apple II games
Does it heat up when gaming? Especially graphic intensive games? Which part does it heat up? I have a switch lite and i regret buying it due to the heating on the rightside ug the device. It's uncomfortable to play. Had to buy a grip for it.
can you just transfer the data from the supplied sd card to a new one that I bought. and the same with the sd card that the games are on
I was wondering if it would be possible to back up both stock sd cards upon unit arrival and use them until they possibly stop working and then buy new sd cards and transfer files over then. Thanks
I created an image of mine on a Mac and load it on to a new card when needed.
I got the v for the android software. planning on running pokemmo no this jig.
how do you save the game any one ? n what is with the booting n how do I transfer the games into new memory ????

Okay i will try this out as soon as the Anbernic arrives
I think its too small. maybe 5 inch lcd would be good.
If you want one with free Wi-Fi get the rg351v
Pretty sure those are Toshiba memory cards
Hi does anyone know if I can put mp3s and mp4s to watch and listen to music or films?
yes. it's just android, like on your phone.
Can it play Vice City?
Does anyone know if this has Bluetooth capability? I want to connect my airpods to it
I have looked and it doesn't look like there's Bluetooth.
