Tori I have no idea how you’re pumping 1 video a day for this series! I just hope you aren’t spending too much time editing these videos and don’t burn out by the end of this series
Tori was the first art youtuber i ever watched, and after three years she’s the only one i really keep up with. I always look forward to her fresh perspective and professionalism. Often her videos just make my day, so thank you and keep it up!
The Paul Rubens watercolor paper looks like it's handling everything you throw at it really well! I was impressed after all the layers, then tape/gouache... I always feel nervous watching someone tear off tape. I crossed my fingers that the adhesive didn't rip any fibers :D
Kimberly Crick Art I’m pretty impress with it too! Very tempted to buy the larger version - I’m kind feel cooped up atm. The only gripe I have, other than it’s perforated- the paper is a bit soft, that it’s dulling the tips of my pencils too fast. Other than that, very happy.
I got a pack of those watercolor tubes and dried them down and they work just fine. Be careful what container you choose to put them in, mine keep falling off since I keep them in my school bag (I got the pack that comes with a container to put them in, it was super expensive and tbh not really worth it, better to get a tin and some empty half pans and fill them) , but just putting a little water on the bottom of the dried paint and sticking it back into the palate works just fine. The paint takes more than 24 hours to dry (I was super bummed I couldn't use them immediately) but after two-four days they should be good. Good luck, I hope you find some watercolors that work for you!!
@@cenazias3210 ooo! which set do you have? I have the 18pc set and I dig it. I feel like some colors are just not needed, though, such as the two PV19 colors, the black, and the warm red that's mixed with a yellow but still looks... exactly like the single pigment version? I think it's pretty good for my needs as a beginner, though :D

This is my favorite of your daily sketchbook pieces so far! Love the design and the bits of gouache! I also appreciate all reviews you do! I always see in places like amazon reviews where everybody just says "theyre good paints I use them just fine", but not much further input on pigment and the little things that set them apart from other paints. I'm glad you can give a bit more information based on your knowledge as an experienced artist! :)
WOW today's piece is just absolutely beautiful!! I love the air of calm and refined power she radiates...such a great expression and pose :-) and the gouache rays look awesome!!
I'd love to see how the paint rewets after being dry! I never use up all my paint whenever I use them fresh, but don't want to waste the paint. As for the Winsor and Newton cotman tubes, I've only ever used two colours and had a different experience with both. The payne's grey is pretty nice and still lives on my palette with my professional paints. The purple lake (it's a PV19 paint that resembles a quin violet) on the other hand doesn't reactivate well, is pretty weak, and sometimes sits weirdly on the paper. I know there's a certain level of difference between colours, but this felt pretty stark. I love the neutral greys in today's piece!
I would love to see your thoughts on the winsor and newton set now, I just ordered them for myself to begin with and would love to know your opinions on them now.
i love the sketch for today!! i finally ordered 100% cotton paper and hope that improves the look of my art and doesn't pill like the current paper im using right now
