- Its been a few weeks, sorry for the delay.. I had an annoying oil leak at the valley cover so I decided to address it by replacing it with an inexpensive cover from Street Rays on Ebay.. The kit was 32 bucks and includes beveled flush fitting fasteners..

Sir your ls videos are awesome my carbed 5.3 1991 build will be much easier now but I have gbody I'm going to build with fuel injection both are gen 3 4.8 fuel injection I am going to use ez ls 2.0 and that's not as easy as carbed stuff if you have any suggestions please let me know
Are you running a rectangle port intake in your cathedral port heads? Wouldn't it run better with the correct ported intake?
I have some bad lifters in a 2012 chevy tahoe can i put delete valley metal instead of lifters

What did you tourque the valley plate down to? I’m building a lm7 right now and can’t find anything on the valley plate tourque specs do I just hand tighten it or....??

Try the Hanes manual you can find at autozone or oreillys, they have torque specifications for all kinds of parts in their book
18 foot pounds
109in lbs 18-20ft lbs is claimed but you don’t need it that tight
What did u block off the knock sensor holes with or did u just leave them open?
Ict billet makes a nice cover plate for it
Does it hurt to cover or not cover the sensor port
Would also like to know if I need the knock sensor delete cover or if I can just use the stock one? Will it leak with the stock one
Ok let me.ask dumb question ..lol...u can only do this delete with a 5.3 that can't use knock sensors right?..cuz like my 5.3 2004 Silverado..I've learned and gotten rid of cats and back o2 sensors. And fixing to tune computer. But found out I can delete evap sensor on top and she with the plug...so was waiting to time computer till all that comes in ..but now my factory motor is still gonna need the knocks right?? Won't be able to delete those?right?so In my case new gaskets and knock sensors are best I can do?:):) For my leak like what u had lol.....also I noticed ur little kn filter on valcover..do u have one on the back driver side?..and if so..can I do that with my factory intake? Plug off the nipples on intake and put filters on end of Val cover?.TKS for any and all help..I just learned about my steam vent after having my truck 16 yrs problem free .then cat blue out so did duals and cat deletes. Wow!.and now updating everything else. Cuz seem to be losing water ..but not in oil..just little steam out my pipes .so prob need a rebuild but in mean Time trying to keep water fills and no pockets of air and just relized all u have to do to bleed ..sooo..tryin to figure out best upgrade..and since gotta do intake gaskets trying to figure out all the things I can and need to delete before computer tune .lol..oh got a Corvette servo. Wished I got that 16 yrs ago..so upset I went so long without ..hey TKS again for at least reading my book here...sorry bout that. Video told me nothing except listing to you BS and look at a gasket kit. Thanks for wasting my time. So, do the sensors stay inplace or are they remove, delete with a plug or what? If I wanted to listen to a bunch of talk I would see my wife

When reinstalling the intake back on do you have to change o-rings ?
