The Parts of Speech: Adjectives | Basic English Grammar for Beginners

  • Learn all about adjectives (parts of speech) in this English grammar lesson for beginners or elementary learners. Adjectives modify or describe nouns or pronouns. They are one of the 8 parts of speech. In today's lesson, you'll learn about adjective rules, how to use adjectives with nouns/pronouns and some verbs.
    I'll also talk about the correct use of adjectives in singular and plural forms. You'll learn the correct order of adjectives and the difference between -ed and -ing adjectives.
    At the end of the lesson, we will have a short quiz to test your knowledge.

    Why are “anyways,” “your guys’es,” and “you’s guys” wrong? They sounds wrong and are very annoying to the ear. People call my business and sadly speak like this, but why structurally is it wrong?
