Brilliant tutorial. John Squire possibly the most underrated guitar player ever the man is a genius!
Hi Ash! Yeah he boggles my mind a bit! Lots of things to study that's for sure, happy playing Ash hope this lesson works for you!
Ant's Guitar Tutorials honestly mate absolutely top tutorial. Keep it up not many tutorial like this knocking about. I’ll wait for I Am The Resurrection, I dare you! Thanks mate all the best.
Haha I keep hearing the ominous words 'I am The Resurrection' ..looks like I'll be working up to it haha! ;)
Sir John is GOD
Hi
When you switch to the Bridge pup for the main riff, are you kicking any distortion on to?
Sounds like you have a great mellow tone on the neck pup then a good slightly crunchy tone on the riff.
I'm trying to replicate this on my strat, but doesn't sound great when I switch to bridge pup..
Any pointers? Thanks.
Finally a real tutorial
Alright gang - just begun working on 'I Am The Resurrection' can't wait to get it out there! Going to be massive!
Awesome man, including the whole groove funk outrto extravaganza?
@@jamesdalziel4516 definitely! Just working in putting together the first 4minutes then will do the crazy instrumental as a separate video!
@@AnthonyFernsGuitarTutorials That's awesome mate. Just spent a week or two myself doing the first bit myself. Gonna challenge the instrumental this weekend... The "Adored" video was spot on btw, cheers!
@@AnthonyFernsGuitarTutorials this video helped me actually ruclips.net/video/qoC0MWO78ag/видео.html
@@jamesdalziel4516 Alright mate just posted the part 1 of I Am The Resurrection!
Thank you so much for breaking this song into separate phrases, and for playing it fast and slow. It's a good, straightforward teaching method.
Now this is so, so satisfying to play...
Such a good tutorial. Beautiful. Great job!
Hey Ant, thank you so much for such a great lesson. Been wanting to play this since I first heard it at Sixth Form in about 1990.... have been studying your lesson for a while and now I reckon I've nailed it. All thanks to you mate! Cheers and all the best!!!
Fantastic. What a great tutorial!!
Super helpful and super cool! Thank you, man!
Really great playing mate and clear lesson, thanks a lot! Just bought the tab books (and trying to train my ear too), and this is a great resource as well. And I second the call for "Resurrection"! Thanks again.
thanks for this demo of one the greatest guitar riffs ever written 👍
Very cool. Thanks for making the effort!
This is the best song tutorial i've ever seen. I've been trying to learn that intro for some time now and you just nailed it.
Easy to follow. Instant Sub
Hey mate - thats very kind of you to say! Yeah it's a really interesting start to a song isn't it?! It's so drowned in reverb and delay I couldn't even tell you the amount of times I listened to it haha! I wanted it to be practical so people like yourself can go out and play it in your own bands and things! Anyway welcome to the community! If you've ever got a suggestion, don't hesitate!
@@AnthonyFernsGuitarTutorials Absolutely, i love the intro but it's impossible to break down what he's actually playing. I'm glad someone finally has! Would love some lessons for The Smiths, or Credence!
yeah it is sweet
Ant, thank you very much for this thoughtful and detailed tutorial! It took me not very long to understand and be able to play intro and main melody.
The only complicated thing from intro was part 6. It seems to be simple, but I can't fully understand it..(
Anyway, great thanks and respect to you from Moscow! Keep doing this brit-pop staff!) More Smiths, Blur and Stone Roses, of course)
Only just come across your tutorials. They are fantastic and nicely laid out. Il be watching you from know on. All the best.
Welcome to the community!
This is gold, thank you so much.
Dar Claude is this tutorial in standard tuning?
Great tutorial hrlped me alot because i have been looking for a proper tutorial for ages
I think I've been waiting for this video on youtube for about 2 years and you finally delivered. cheers ;)
Yes thank you for sticking around to see it haha! Now onto the rest of the back catalogue ;) happy playing mate!
@@AnthonyFernsGuitarTutorials You really helped this time around. thanks again
great tutorial, thanks for uploading!
Amazing tutorial, thanks a million.
Well done, mate!
Just awesome!
Another brilliant lesson. I can probably work it out but it would be great to have you explain the bass line as well.
Fantastic tutorial, thanks
Outstanding video
Fantastic. Thank you !
Thanks Ant, a really great tutorial perfectly explained and played, different class! It's obvious you really like the Roses by your attention to detail, John Squire is up there with the best imo. Loved your Oasis tut for Cigarettes & Alcohol too, the best on RUclips period. Keep the flame burning fella :-)
Loving it mate! Really glad these lessons are working, and are easier for people to gig now, Squire has really nailed it in this one hasn't he?! The song is all about that introduction! Definitely feels like you need the enigma machine to work out what he's playing sometimes though haha! Loving the attitude in Cigs & alcohol, crank the volume for that one. But welcome to the community mate, if you've ever got an idea or suggestion hit me up and i'll see what I can do! Happy playing!
Your a great teacher keep it up man
I have been looking for other tutorials but none of them come close to how good this one is!
Thanks Jeff - very kind of you to say! Happy playing mate!
Great lesson. Many thanks
Top job man.👌
Omg, amazing!! 😍🤤👌🏼
Great job, Man! Thanks a lot!
No worries my friend happy playing! :)
thats outstanding ,thanks
Already i can tell
After less than a minute
That i like you and your the guy !
brilliant job,,,thank you very much
Thanks! I never knew I'd been playing it wrong before I watched this
Hi Cal! It's tricky where it's so drowned in reverb and delay haha! Happy to fill the gaps in though, really glad it helped!
Great job mate, the most accurate and detailed ever for this song! Can you share the effects you used and the settings, especially the pitch shifter and the chorus?
Thanks a lot man this really helped
Best guitar channel
This tutorial is adored, by me! 😁
Very good lesson. Tnx
Serious riffs n bass quitar play on that one ' timeless...
great job
Brilliant thank you.
Hey gang hope you're all rocking out to I Wanna Be Adored! If you loved the video and the detail I bring to my lessons head over to my Patreon and check out what I've got to offer! I could be working on the song lesson you want me to make! www.patreon.com/antsguitartutorials?fan_landing=true
I don't know if anyone have asked, but what is the brand and model of the guitar you used for this tutorial? Would you recommend this guitar for a beginner and for someone smaller (5'3")?
@@jtong1985 looks like a Fender Stratocaster though I can't tell which series. They are very comfortable to play, tho as a beginner you might like to try a Fender Squire Stratocaster which are the cheaper versions. Anyhow your msg was 1 yr ago so you are probably Eddie Van Halen by now!! Good Luck on your journey J Tong
Thanks. Really good.
Lovely stuff Stuart, happy playing mate!
really good tutorial. Is there any tips on how to make my pull offs as smooth as yours or is it just practice? it doesn't even look like you're pulling off you're doing it that quickly lol, it looks like a hammer on then release from my eyes haha
Practice
Thanks Ant, this is great! Looking forward to more of the same. Much appreciated. Cheers!
Hi Craig! Good to see you back on the comments mate really glad you liked it, yeah I can feel myself progressively taking on more ambitious/challenging songs now haha! Happy playing Craig!
Ant's Guitar Tutorials thanks mate, I’ll be tackling this just as soon as my hangover goes away...
Hahaha outstanding!
:-/ do you have any particular songs in mind for the next lessons that we can look forward to? Cheers
Thinking about taking on something like Made Of Stone, Waterfall or She Bangs The Drums?
Hell yeah!
This is such an amazing song to just jam over. John Squire and Tom Verlaine are such legends. Have you done any Television tutorials? I couldn't find any. Thanks so much for this one though. And your video on Naive by the kooks is probably my fav guitar video on youtube and helped me so much with my strumming technique. Thanks for everying!
nice shirtttt! The cover sounds amazing!!!!
Glad you're enjoying it Luc! :D I gather you're quite familiar with the brand haha!
Ant's Guitar Tutorials indeed!! My boyfriend has that shirt in a lighter colour and I love it hhahaha! (Secretly hoping I can steal his shirt soon! X)
class mate
Happy playing mate!
Thanks!
This dude is always no1 source with the classic british hits
great
Lovely tutorial! Looking at the live performance it seems that the riff and lead parts are played on on the B string, and that seems to make things a bit easier :)
Wembley here I come!
Nice
Wow, this song is perfect for legato training. :)
It's An amazing tutorial so fair play for doing it. But there's still loads of little riffs left out on your version, I've tried to attempt this myself and I just can't get it. Maybe I should give it another go.
Ant, it's great on this tutorial to be able to see your right hand at work. It makes it a lot easier to learn the guitar parts. I've been working through your tutorial on Morning Glory. It's helped me enormously to learn the song, but I would have liked to have been able to see your right hand as well as your left hand. When it goes to the D chord from E minor, it sounds like your picking individual notes, including the open top E rather than just strumming it but because of the guitar tone, I can't be 100% sure. Just a polite suggestion. Your tutorials are far more accurate than many others on RUclips.
Hi Steve you are right on the money regarding the Morning Glory Tutorial! When I go from the D back to the E I play the high E, B and G as individual notes transitioning back into that low Em sound! Really interesting to hear your comments on my picking hand, i'll take that on board going forward for the lessons to come definitely! Just thank you so much for sticking around and being part of the community!
Thanks for your reply Ant. I'm really enjoying your tutorials.
nice practice
Your eyes looks supersonic dude.
it's like John was sitting beside me
This is solid u
well done, bloody marvelous work, thank you v much. could you tackle the resurrection?
Hi Sean - Yeah I keep hearing people say resurrection haha! Seems like a daunting task, I've got a lesson on Waterfall coming out, then I'll assess if I can tackle it!
Great tutorial. Here's another request please Ant. How about She's Electric? There's definitely a need for a decent tutorial on that song.
Hi Steve! Yeah she's electric is another great idea, I've added it to my list, always have time for more Oasis material!
Thanks Ant.
Oasis is always good 👌🏻
Sick tutorial man, what effects are you using tho cos I’m trying to replicate it and just can’t.
Chorus, reverb, a little overdrive. Maybe some delay
So what is the exact tuning I should tune my guitar to to get this same sound I’m just playing it on standard and it’s not too far off but still haha thanks
Hey, great tutorial, but i have a question - is your guitar tuned to some sort of a pitch? cause when i try to play it on mine, it just doesnt sound right
Had a guitar a fortnight can play some odds and ends struggling a bit with the second phrase I feel I’m playing what your showing it just sounds a bit out maybe I’m missin a note or something any advice
Please do more roses!
yo man crazy good lesson, what amp settings and pedals are you using?
This one caught me way off guard, didn’t think that it could be taught. Regardless, great job!! Ill offer some request requests at you: “Dakota” by Stereophonics, and “My Big Mouth” and “Don’t Go Away” by Oasis.
Yeah I kept hearing the demand for some Stone Roses, so I thought I'd give the people what they want haha! Nice one mate, yeah Dakota will definitely be on my radar soon, 'My Big Mouth' would be a great one to check out! I'm gonna get through the Oasis back catalogue before long haha!
Great lesson, I’m getting the grip of it now after watching. thought I’d ask what effects did you use in the video as you’ve got a good sound going on in this video
Great to hear! You're going to laugh when I tell you the chorus that I used! So firstly I just turned the amp Reverb up its not anything specific, turned on a tc electronics compressor (just to even out the sound) and then I used the chorus setting on a whammy V pedal haha! It's rediculous isn't it?! The only other thing was the amp overdrive! I also use a blackstar HT-stage 60
Ant's Guitar Tutorials ah thank you for that haha. Will have to sort out another pedal then, will it ever end haha
For the rhythm guitar part what chords are you playing?
Great lesson, what backing track did you use for this please?
Any chance you can link it? There's loads.
Hi Graham! This is the one I used, hope this helps! - www.karaoke-version.co.uk/custombackingtrack/the-stone-roses/i-wanna-be-adored.html
Nice one Ant's, bought and downloaded, just need to get as good as you now.
Could be awhile ...
Haha you'll be doing it better than me before long I bet! It's a great little website for tracks, you can take out any of the instruments you don't want and it's a great reference when you start going out and gigging it! All the best Graham!
Hi is this in standard tuning or not??
Can you do this is the one
American horror history use this theme is amazing
Please do made of stone
Hi ant brilliant lesson could I ask what backing track you use many thanks keep up the great work
Hey Paul! Really glad you enjoyed it mate, I get all my backing tracks from here: (if you click customise on a track you can take out any instruments you want) www.karaoke-version.co.uk/
Ant Thats amazing mate thank you so much your definitely my go to you tuber to lean from 👍👍

And a little request how about day break by the roses I'd love to be able to play that ant
@@cclxuddy Haha don't worry I'll go through all of them soon enough! I've actually got a new Roses lesson coming out this week I think you might really enjoy, so I'll see you in the comments Paul haha!
A request would be 'be here now' the song oasis
Yeah that would be pretty outrageous haha! Want to get round to doing 'I Hope, I Think, I Know' at some stage!
Thanks for the awesome video, is there any chance you could email me the backing track you have used in this Andy ? After learning the song over a course of two days I would like to do a cover video. I will credit you for the backing track and tutorial and put a link in the description to your channel.
Thanks, Alfie :)
Hi Alfie! Hope you're well, great to hear you've been going through some classic Stone Roses, seems like a lifetime ago since I made this lesson haha! Anyway this link will take you to the right place, the track will cost a couple quid but it's worth it! You want to click on 'Custom backing track' at the menu on the right hand side, from there you can play around with what instruments you do and don't want! www.karaoke-version.co.uk/instrumental-mp3/the-stone-roses/i-wanna-be-adored.html
Ant's Guitar Tutorials thanks that’s brilliant
Note to self 9:50
is this normal tuning
what guitar are you using in this video? Great tutorial btw.
Hey Harvey! Feels like a lifetime since I made this haha, I’m using a 2011 American standard fender strat, I’m not sure what the equivalent is now with fender’s strange rebrand!
@@AnthonyFernsGuitarTutorials Okay cheers, and thanks for replying! Don't suppose you have any guitar recommendations for around £500?
@@harveybetts8915 have a look on Andertons for the fender player series, which I think is their marketing for Mexican guitars, their strats and teles are worth a look at! Also check out epiphone and gretsch they’re usually quite good for around £400-£600
@@AnthonyFernsGuitarTutorials Will do cheers

Hey dude you’re going way to fast and it’d be nice to have tabs written out. I can play it but I have to stop to listen again and again to one part.
Aye slow it down
It’ll be too long of a video otherwise, so I just use Slomo on computer keyboard.
Yeah absolutely 👍🏻
Stop moaning about something free. Just write it our on some tab yourself doesn't take long and really helps you learn it
I can understand pretty well and can play fine maybe your just slow
