The thought of filing for social security/retirement makes me cry. My apologies to everyone who have retired/filing for social security during this time after putting in all those years of work just to lose everything to a problem you weren't to blame for.it's especially difficult for people who are retired.

It has never been easier to understand how to build your money after retirement than it is right now with the inflation, when you may study and experience a completely variegated market passively by employing a successful portfolio-advisor. The impacts of the U.S. dollar's gain or fall on investments, in my opinion, are complex.

I am a project manager and my personal portfolio of approximately $1.5m of my retirement pension took a big hit in April due to the crash. I quickly got in touch with a financial-planner that devised a defensive strategy to protect and profit from my portfolio this red season. I’ve made over $750k since then.

I am 68 years old and live on Social Security only. I worked and paid into it since I was 14 (I'm unable to work now). It is not an entitlement, it is an earned retirement income. Every private retirement fund I invested in either went belly up, or I was forced to use for personal emergency. Yes, I live below the poverty level, but without Social Security I would be destitute and would have lost the little mobile home I live in. I never vote Republican as I've seen them cut benefits for the poor and disabled too many times through the years. Thank you for what you do, keep it up.

I wish our SSID was better. Needs to be more robust and really take care of people who live or die from it. Really, I sometimes wonder if we ought to just send the people who do not want to take part in our society to another state. I mean, leave, or just opt out, but then they would not be able to have any of the stuff the rest of us do want and are willing to pay for. Like SSID. Like real Social Security, real UBI, I think we should have ALL that stuff and more. I also believe that attaining it would not cost us more than we spend today on the military. We could live like kings and queens if we just got past those gatekeepers of the treasure that belongs to all of us. I do not want to live like a king, that is the wrong point, I am just suggesting that it is just a choice we ought to be able to make if we do want it.
They hate the US so much they actively try to destroy it from the inside, but they do not even talk about what they would do if they ever actually achieved seemingly their biggest goals. They would not have any goverrnment to blame for whatever they could not deal with then, the same as now, but it would be way worse because they would destroy our structure that we wanted to build and pay for.

Just as under “W” when they stated to drop the “ic” off of Democrat to equate the Democrats with “rats” or when the invented word “medicines” supplanted medicinal fir a famous mouthwash. There would be so many of us who will not make it to 70 and will never know the rest retirement brings and given the time to enjoy their family and friends in their wheyning days. Sadly I already foresee I will be working until the day I drop. How Pathetic is it that in Europe retirement is 62 in the majority of the countries yet they want to push us out almost a whole decade past that, the US can no longer call itself a super power, or that Bull💩beacon of light onto of the hill ...🤬You GOP &GOP voter, we should only have gop voters be the only ones have to retire at 70 and we'll see how long they keep voting that way.

I am of the age where I do get a pension from my former employer, plus I do get my Social Security benefits. It is nice to know that the amount I receive every month is a consistent amount so that I can have a budget for my expenses. Tying Social Security to the stock market, even a portion of it, is such a bad idea. Because the people who will suffer the most are the people at the bottom if the stock market crashes.
