It would help if you put tabs for the chords as an image during the video.
Yeah but this stuff takes forever to film, edit, etc making tabs would take so much longer then you'd have to add it to the video at the proper time.. ugh.. it sucks. I did it ONCE took me absolutely all day and it still was crap. You could make em though! Do it and see how crazy long it takes. Good luck to ya!

Hamda Almahri they are chords on the guitar in this video. If you Google them you can get a simple diagram to help learn. These chords are usually the first ones taught in a guitar class so it should be relatively easy to pick up with practice. Capo on the 3rd fret means you're changing the key of the song without changing the chords, or in other words make it sound higher. You can learn this song and play without a capo so don't worry.

For anyone new trying to learn this:
You dont need any fingers at all on the high E string. You also dont need fingers on the A string, only for the last chord. This can be played much easier if you are only looking for the sound and not good finger placement
Yeah, the e minor pattern here is not really important but if you play finger style, you see it all the time. The picking patterns are on top of a chord structure.
It is important to hold the chord anyway if you hit something wrong it wont be off key and also its important to remember what chord youre in. The open strings are part of that e.minor chord

What's the point of the e-minor chord in the second demonstration if you don't use them? You can just use your pinky
I think it's just for consistency. It's a bit awkward if you're teaching this and you say "G chord, then D chord, then pinky of the third fret of the B, then C chord."
Yeah similar to how when people want the open EBG strings they will attach an eminor to get easy switch from and to g’s and c’s

Is is just me or does he do some different fingering stuff near the end of the video? I am noticing a quick double strum on the bass notes. Maybe i'm just crazy but it is seriously throwing off my understanding of the strum pattern when 5 seconds later I am seeing a different thing.
He did, but I'm guessing he only did that just to play around with the melody and embellish it a little. Take it with a grain of salt and just stick to what he taught you in the video, and if you want, you can try embellishing it as he did.

You really are a great teacher. Real beginner here. I'd say I've learned about 6 songs from you. I'm still struggling big time singing while strumming, but can definitely play songs, chords only, no fancy picking, and these songs are actually recognizable, so I'm making progress. Thanks for that! My wife and my first dance song was to Nancy Griffith's "Love at the five and dime". I know this is folk, but, it has some really interesting picking that I'm trying to figure out. I just plain love that song. That would be my request! If not, I'll give you another one that might be a bit off your play list but I just love it. Jack Johnson's Upside Down.
