    This remarkable HO Scale layout is located in Crockett, CA at the former Oddfellows Lodge. It represents the former Southern Pacific route from Oakland, CA to Sparks, NV and features many of the prominent landmarks along the way.
    It has almost 2,000 feet of track, is equipped with an NCE DCC system, and occupies 3 levels; making it among the biggest club-operated layouts in the Bay Area.
    Come along with us for a remastered tour of another great layout!

    That Benicia bridge is the most spectacular structure that I have ever seen on a RUclips model railroad video.

    The industries on this layout are great.Love the Oil Refinery and the skill used to model it across a corner section. The scratch built river bridge just beggars belief.What an incredible group of modellers involved in this project.

    Nice long snaking cement hopper train with SP power. Gotta love those SD9 Cadillacs - used to come through my old home town of Davis just west of Sacrademento!

      @@floridianrailauto9032 Not that I've ever seen. SP SD9s, especially, have long been referred to as Cadillacs by SP hoggers; due to the way they ride.

    This is a beautiful layout. I've been through these places on Amtrak several times. There is an old hotel in Colfax on the east side of the tracks near the station, which was for sale many years ago. Some friends of mine and I were very interested in purchasing it and restoring it to it's former glory. But, alas, this didn't materialize.

      @@tsgmultimedia Ahhh right on! Thanks for the response!

    • @codyseybold7977

      @@tsgmultimedia Would you be able to answer this? I am fan of model railroading, and with these layouts that channels like yours and other numerous channels highlight are just insane! Top tier layouts without question, but each video always follows one train around the layout. My assumption, is what it does is really give the viewer a good look at what went in to the layout, and the details behind it. Where what I am super interested in is the different trains that layout has, so I necessarily don't watch full videos of layout tours. Is that because layout tours are meant for the advanced modeler to show specific details?

    • @tsgmultimedia
      @tsgmultimedia  5 лет назад +1

      @@codyseybold7977 My layout tours are presented in the way the layout owner wishes to present his or her approach to model railroading. I would suggest you watch more of them if you have time. Some are just following a train around, but many have elements of operations, examples of models, custom builds, and more. Did you see the recently released layout tour of Warren Johnson's Union Pacific Bountiful Division? You might also enjoy Silicon Valley Lines and, of course, the Yosemite Valley with Jack Burgess. Of course there are a lot more, but these three come straight to mind when I think of how some of the layout tours are different.

    • @codyseybold7977
      @codyseybold7977 5 лет назад +1

      @@tsgmultimedia I haven't gotten to check those out yet! And okay that makes sense! I will give them a watch, I do like the operational videos a lot. Just my preference, I would love to see a video of a compilation of trains on the layout you are showing at the end after the tour itself is completed. Just my opinion, still love what I have seen!
