First of all, the house looks amazing. I admire your courage in starting this project and I really hope you succeed, I really do, and I think you have a chance. I will of course make fun of you for basically starting an artist commune, but I do hope that it works out and that you will be happy with the result.
I'm going to apply even thought I'm afraid my art may be considered a bit "low brow" for what this channel usually covers. I'm a tattoo artist in training. I focus mostly on abstract portraits of well known figures. Hope you see this!
Awe man this looks amazing! Maybe next year, once I’ve gained my diploma and have my eighteenth birthday, I could come and visit from England. I’ve been doing watercolour studies for the last few years, but I’d love to expand my subjects and experiences. Looks so cool man, I wish you all the best with starting this venture and maybe I’ll look it up again in the not-too-distant future!
The idea of spending a couple of weeks dedicating myself completely to creating artwork gave me a small - but strong - thrill in my stomach. I've heard of artist retreats, residencies, patronships, etc. but have never allowed the thought of ME being a part of anything like that to enter my mind. What you're doing here is just amazing. If I ever have the means to be a part of this project, I would be honored. I'm excited to see what comes of this, to discover artists through your videos and watch this unfold. By the way, you've found the perfect location for this; to foster artist's creativity. It's exciting to see what can come of such a place; an artists' haven. I'm truly thankful for every person who will benefit from this, whether it be from being able to open up and just create or to watch others experience that and then see the product of their time spent there. I could go on and on about this. You're truly doing great things and I am heartened to see your passion and love for art and art history.
i really hope this gets big, and maybe expands too. it sounds like a resurgence of renaissance era patrons, whom have been a great development to artists.
I wish my art was good enough, or even if i was old enough i know im not brave to do something like this. Im glad ur making this decision, i wish u all the luck that i can cause is the only think i can do. Im exited to see this protect grow!
I need this so badly. I've fallen off from Making art because of life and have been desperate to get back into it. But again, life. Sadly I am not financially stable enough but hopefully sometime I can take up the offer and immerse myself in my art like I used to
My dream is to buy property to start my own residency, but this is my first time seeing a residency that’s non affiliated with a large corporation or private university! Amazing opportunity ❤❤❤
I’m commenting for the algorithm boost but this sounds like such a cool idea! I would be so interested to do this some time in the coming years when I’m more financially stable! ^^
This is such an amazing idea, I can't wait to see the content you will produce here! Seriously good on you for undertaking this project! I'm not sure how this works but I will love to see the youtuber ANJA in there someday! I love her art style and her personality shines through her videos, I'm sure she's make a fantastic subject for your video too!
Commenting for an algorithm boost to the video. My situation doesn't allow me to join in but I absolutely want to see any videos and artwork that come out of this project
This is something I am extremely interested in... been looking for a new thing to do to break out of my routine as it hasn't been getting me anywhere. I haven't thought of anything like this, but it is definitely something I would consider and will look into much further! Thank you for the idea, and I will likely be applying in the near future
This is really exciting particularly with the historical house and location. Plus it's Canadian! Most of my work is in ceramics but I'd definitely be interested in submitting an application in the next year or two.
That sounds exciting. Regarding the word presbytery, when I was in Catholic school as a kid in California, the nuns lived in a convent, and the priests lived in a rectory.
This looks like a great opportunity. I live in NY so the area is accessible to me. the only difficulty would be reserving 2 full weeks for this project! i will keep an eye on the progress of this and hopefully have an opportunity to participate sometime. maybe i will apply just in case!
What an opportunity you are making available. I will continue to develop my skills and perhaps some time will be up to the skill that will justify my application. Your videos are so very informative and if this is reflected in your residency program, success is guaranteed. Winters at the site must be amazing to be a part of.
Well... I'll be completing my BA in Fine Arts this December and will have more free time to do something while I figure out what career I wish to dedicate myself to :)
We are currently in Calexico California. If you need help we can swing through. We were apart of Milo Arts Artist community in Columbus OH. We’ll come swing a hammer as well. Love the idea. We can plan the drive, bring the tools and be there in a few days drive
Two weeks is not enough time for a serious artist to set up a studio space and to create art of any substance. Most artists have special tools that may not easily transportable. Add to that a reliable source for supplies that are specific to their creative activities. Also, many artists are not open to being the subject of a film that they have no creative control over.
Omg omg omg i was watching this thinking its in the us and thats its anither unnatainable and far away thing that wouldve been really cool but I live in quebec!! Im so hapoy about this
A great thing you are doing hopefully struggling Artists struggling with their work a great thing 🖌️ I would have loved to do it but am to far away 🇬🇧 , and really struggling with my work 🖌️
Man I would love to do that some day. but at this time i lack the means or skill to do so. im simply not in a spot to leave for long periods of time. and tho my are has imroved . I still feel that i am a baby gazelle finding its legs. I would love to join in the future. it is inspiring to see what you are doing ^u^
dammit id love to join if i wasn't teenage and non-canadian. ahh that sounds like a dream;; that's really exciting. i'm excited to see where it goes :0
Man, I would LOVE to go to a place like this and create art!! As an animator, it feels a bit difficult to create an exhibition outta it, aside from zoetropes and the like. While I love my digital paintings, I really want to get into oil painting and really create gorgeous physical artwork. Animation on paper, though absolutely lovely, can't necessarily be seen in all it's glory through flipping it's pages. But.. a phenakistoscope is perfect, animation live, physically there (just seen through slits and a mirror). Maybe one day I can be worthy of having my art displayed or something. Lotta work to be done
Hmm may be a kind of a stretch but i always assumed you were quebecois from your pronunciation of french words and names! Love this channel keep doing what you are doing!
It can be anything! Though I will not necessarily be equipped for stuff like pottery and ceramics, but having a variety of artists working with different mediums could definitely add to the experience!
I'm super broke so I cant donate but this is such a whole project!!! Will definitely subscribe and share videos to try to help out in non financial ways!!!
I’ve recently started following this channel, I am a musician, me and my acoustic guitar mostly form of alt rock me and my guitar, is there any room for musicians in this stay? Could use a unique experience
Agh, if only this were 5 years ago and I would jump all over the opportunity. Unfortunately, a life with a wife and babies just doesn't fit into my agenda as well, anymore.
I am happy about this residency and will look into applying in the future. I posted before and my name did not come up properly. My name is Laara WilliamSen.
@@LOVE.amandaworld That's what I'm saying. Sure, there's the travel fees, art supplies cost and stuff you would also have to take into account, but the living price isn't too bad.
im interested!! im a college student though, so I cant afford to go just yet,, I'll keep an eye out! (Edit: I will donate when I can in the meantime, though :) )
First of all, the house looks amazing. I admire your courage in starting this project and I really hope you succeed, I really do, and I think you have a chance. What an awesome project! Excited to see what comes of this in the next few years
Thank you so much George!
I wish I could be a part of this, but unfortunately I have neither the skill nor opportunity. Good luck on your project, it sounds highly promising.
don't have the skill *yet*
You can be a part of it! Donate so that others may go. Perhaps in return for your kindness someone will give you paint you or give you some artwork.
I'm going to apply even thought I'm afraid my art may be considered a bit "low brow" for what this channel usually covers. I'm a tattoo artist in training. I focus mostly on abstract portraits of well known figures. Hope you see this!
why have i never heard of artist residency's until now, this is such a brilliant idea
Awe man this looks amazing! Maybe next year, once I’ve gained my diploma and have my eighteenth birthday, I could come and visit from England. Looks so cool man, I wish you all the best with starting this venture and maybe I’ll look it up again in the not-too-distant future!
Then this gives both of us something to look up to!
The idea of spending a couple of weeks dedicating myself completely to creating artwork gave me a small - but strong - thrill in my stomach.

Beautiful, this is so very needed and essential in these modern times!
i really hope this gets big, and maybe expands too. it sounds like a resurgence of renaissance era patrons, whom have been a great development to artists.
Just sent my application, the location looks amazing ❤️
Amazing! I can't wait to sit down and see!
I wish my art was good enough, or even if i was old enough i know im not brave to do something like this. Im glad ur making this decision, i wish u all the luck that i can cause is the only think i can do. Im exited to see this protect grow!
I know so many artists who would love this!
Make sure to share it with them! I'm excited to see all the submissions!
This is amazing, what a proyect!!!!
I need this so badly. I've fallen off from Making art because of life and have been desperate to get back into it. But again, life. Sadly I am not financially stable enough but hopefully sometime I can take up the offer and immerse myself in my art like I used to
Blessings and Gratitude.
I am so glad to find you! Artists along the seaboard and across the divide are perking up. Something good is going on ❤
This is an insanely cool project to embark on and I wish you all the luck in the world. Can't wait to see the artist showcase videos
My dream is to buy property to start my own residency, but this is my first time seeing a residency that’s non affiliated with a large corporation or private university! Amazing opportunity ❤❤❤
I love your show! I think you are brilliant and so talented! You have your own show! Keep up the good work!
Im a hobby artist, and seing people do this kind stuff is so cool. Your grand my man.
Omg am so glad I live in Ottawa I’ll definitely be stopping by!
Being a Montreal artist, this is so fucking cool
Congratulations! How exciting! Best wishes with your new adventure.
I'm in Ireland and this is a brave and brilliant thing to do, best of luck.
Cool idea. I‘ll watch the project develop and might come later. 🌺✨
I’m commenting for the algorithm boost but this sounds like such a cool idea! I would be so interested to do this some time in the coming years when I’m more financially stable! ^^
This is an INCREDIBLE idea. I'll definitely be saving up to come stay at the Manoir G!

I’m not even an artist but this is so exciting to me! Best of luck, can’t wait to see what happens!
Commenting for an algorithm boost to the video. My situation doesn't allow me to join in but I absolutely want to see any videos and artwork that come out of this project
but what if I want a bunk bed?
Omg I’m so excited to see the art that comes out of this
looks like your becoming the modern day da vinci !
this is an amazing idea and way to give back
It looks like a great project. I wish you success in this endeavor, it would be nice to spend some time there, creating.
This is absolutely amazing!

I freaking love this channel
Love it!
I tip my hat, sir. All best!
I work in schools and this would be a great opportunity for summer! Is this project going to be going on for the foreseeable future?
That sounds exciting. Regarding the word presbytery, when I was in Catholic school as a kid in California, the nuns lived in a convent, and the priests lived in a rectory.
So exciting!!!!

je me demandais pourquoi ta prenonciation des mots français était si bonne... mes doutes sont maintenant confirmés!
super projet, d'ailleurs, bravo!
I would like to see a video about 'Time clipping Cupid’s wings'. Beautiful painting.

Dude!!! You're Quebecois?! Wish I were an artist but alas I am but a humble appraiser...dang looks lovely there.
Amazing project.

Brilliant idea!

Everyone is worthy of having their art displayed. Including you.
Wow..are you that rich. Makes sense.
I'll keep the streets as my gallery.
Hmm may be a kind of a stretch but i always assumed you were quebecois from your pronunciation of french words and names! Love this channel keep doing what you are doing!
I assume it's 2D mediums only? Would you accept installation / sculpture / and or object art?
It can be anything! Though I will not necessarily be equipped for stuff like pottery and ceramics, but having a variety of artists working with different mediums could definitely add to the experience!
I would love to apply, while my catalog is not that many and but honestly its on my bucket list i just love the videos
Wow definitely gunna apply
Excited to see your application!!
Quel beau projet!
It sounds very cheap given the location. I would defintely be interested. When is your autumn season in full effect there?
I'm super broke so I cant donate but this is such a whole project!!! Will definitely subscribe and share videos to try to help out in non financial ways!!!
I LOVE THIS!
Ballin
sounds fun, I'm interested in applying
are you kiiiidding???? I love this. should one apply a year in advance or is there some sort of waiting list?
I’ve recently started following this channel, I am a musician, me and my acoustic guitar mostly form of alt rock me and my guitar, is there any room for musicians in this stay? Could use a unique experience
i've things in mine mind to do, but don't have the passion to sail to canada from turkey lol
Agh, if only this were 5 years ago and I would jump all over the opportunity. Unfortunately, a life with a wife and babies just doesn't fit into my agenda as well, anymore.
I'm assuming this is for traditional artists only? Not digital?
I am happy about this residency and will look into applying in the future. I posted before and my name did not come up properly. My name is Laara WilliamSen.
Nice property! I wonder how much it cost!
I'm sure you been asked but have you reviewed the painting Boy with apple from the movie grand buhda pest hotel?
Im interested are you still doing this? The website diesnt seem active. Im an artist of painting and ceramics
Fantastic. I would love to help support this project, will be in touch.
Amazing! That makes me super happy and excited for the future! Thank you!!
It's $200/week... holy moly
There was one residency I wanted to do that was $2k for two to four weeks. A shame because the last week would be spent in New Orleans.
It's actually a really good price compared to many other residency programs.
@@LOVE.amandaworld That's what I'm saying. Sure, there's the travel fees, art supplies cost and stuff you would also have to take into account, but the living price isn't too bad.
Oh, how I wish I could get away from California and spend two weeks just creating art instead of working my 40+ hr. work week.
Is this still available? Do you accept international applicants? I’m interested!
I just found your amazing videos and wow, what an incredible idea! I love that youre doing this
This looks so promising. I'd love to join? How can I apply?
that’s great!! i have a question though, should we be 18 or 21 to partake?
Is there someone organizing something similiar in Europe? Idea is amazing! I am sculptor that would love to get a residency somewhere in Europe
Try art connect or res artis. Many opportunities
im interested!! im a college student though, so I cant afford to go just yet,, I'll keep an eye out! (Edit: I will donate when I can in the meantime, though :) )
Can I book for July/ august of 23?
Residency applicable for October ~ April 2023, six-month extension?
