Decat downpipe, upgraded intercooler and a stage 2 map you need!!!!

Just installed a ram Air filter on my weber sounds sick pure intake noise, also won't really see any gains unless u get it mapped, and to make its sound good get a cat back a decat will make the turbo whistle louder and will improve turbo flow but will fail on emissions, and for even more turbo noises could get a external waste gate and install a screamer pipe. These may throw up codes though
Diverted valve next ? GFB DV+ maybe ? and if your still looking for more turbo sounds maybe consider a “turbo muffler delete” and no that’s not a exhaust mod :)

I had a similar problem with my golf as its the same filter, mine was all rusted up. I just snapped the plastic and then unscrewed the screw with a pair of mole grips.

I got a new ramair oversized from them direct and installed it and car was slower noticeably. Refitted it 2 or 3 times times everytime it was slower. Also was verified on my torque app it's for MK5 GTI was disappointed. Its still in my shed.
Don't spend your money on that. Your car will actually lose performance with such a filter. They are only a part of an entire chain of mods you need to make. A good quality stock filter is by far better.

I would like to know if the metal adapter to join the silicone tube with the standard one came with the kit or you bought it separately. I have the same 2.0 TSI 180cv engine reprogrammed to 265cv and 466nm, with remus final exhaust line and the rest duramas and it is wonderful. But in Spain I can not find an admission, being gen 2.5 they say that it is a mixture between golf 6 and 7 and that it must be adapted and nobody sells me the adapter or the admission for my car and I am already crazy to hear that admission sound in my scirocco. Very good your videos and how you have the scirocco, hugs

I switched to Admiral because Hastings wouldnt allow any mods including air filters. Admiral charge £9.50 extra even if you select ALL of their mod options! Basically £9.50 each day you want to add something so just add it all in one go if you're planning on a few bits changing imminently

I feel your pain on stripped screws! I don't think I have done an install on my channel which has not had at least one stripped screw!
Buy a AEM air filter sock it adds style and also protects against water being sucked in or maybe a turbo filter/guard

You know, that car was born with a wastegate fitted. And as it's a VAG, likely the WG actuator has perished already 😉

I've got a scirocco R with the ram Air oversized induction kit, unplug the blow off valve if you can find it then it'll flutter without even trying

My induction kit sounds the same on my mk7 golf. Although I have a res delete already on mine before I fitted it so helps with the sound

An air filter shouldn't do much to your insurance. It's bigger mods like exhaust, Lowering, remap etc that will bump it up.
