Great to see you back David! I just want to give you a BIG thanks for all the things I have learned from studying your videos. I started watching your channel after completely recovering from tearing my left knee anterior cruciate ligament, and hard to believe for me as it seems, I am better now than I was before my injury, mostly due to a big mentality change (confidence leading to fearlessness.. hence the constant saves with the face ha) and for trying to put in practice all your advise. I'm 37 and have still a big pending goal/dream: winning a tournament. Last year my team and me made it unbeaten to the final of a small local league, I could not play the final game, my team made a big effort but lost. Anger aside, that was the very first time I ever felt actually capable of not only achieving my goal but also felt valuable enough as I saved my team from losing a couple times during hard moments of the tournament. That would have not been possible without YOUR advise. This year I am playing the same tournament again, whatever I achieve, half the credit will be yours. Keep doing what you do! Cheers from Costa Rica.
Greetings form Russia, David! Thanks for your helpful video. Unfortunately, i've ingored routine once and got an injury. When i recover, i'll do everything to avoid such pain in the future. Sorry for my english. Wish you all the best!
Thanks David, its very helpful for me who switched from field goalie to futsal keeper. 5 years since switched, thanks to your video and heavy training regiment that help me to be better. BIG thanks from Indonesia :)
Thanks for your videos David! I’ve learnt a lot and take inspiration from them as a keeper. I started watching since almost a year ago and I like how you take things slowly and explain them step by step. I’ve been waiting for new content during that period so right now I’m really really glad you’re back. Thank you again
Very good job! I'm from Brazil, and love your work! My team and I won the campionship on the penalties, because I "got" one! Thank you! You helped me a lot! 👍👍👍 Sorry if I had wrote someting wrong.
Great that I have a second back stretch in my Arsenal.... The one that's in the praying position. The spilt save ones are great too... Wish I had learnt these when I started futsal
Thanks David, your videos are extremely helpful! The only thing i don’t like is the backing music playing when you are speaking as it makes it hard to hear you at times
I love the dynamic warm up, but I feel the pre match stretches would reverse all the warning up? Those stretches are usually used after a game to lenthen and cool down the muscles :/
wow really good flexibility, i am a goalkeeper in football and i also join our school's volleyball team, our coachs take attention on flexibility very much, but i am not good at it. my team mates can do a full split and can touch their toes when the legs are straight....... but i cant. it is difficult for me. i think i.need a more prectise. thank you for sharing the video!
David good afternoon, I would like to get in touch with you somehow for some futsal goalkeeper programs, hopefully you ll see this and we ll move one. Thanks
dont force to do it perfectly, like Dave said, not everyone can do such as touching the toes... do what u can to gain match readiness, in my opinion... all hail keepers!
I've heard that static stretching before a game can actually not be helpful/cause injury....thoughts on this? I'm thinking of doing more of those dynamic stretches, but skiping the static stretches until after I'm done playing for the day. I will get my yoga return back too, 2-3 times a week, as well as more frequency of playing keeper and other games(dodgeball!) so I get away from the weekend warrior syndrome.
I'm a big believer on static stretches. I think tis an important part of avoiding injury. Ever since I trained Tang Soo Do as a child I was taught to do a range of static stretches. If there have been studies on it saying otherwise then I'd be keen to read them but I'm under the impression it's important and would reccomend static stretches from my own experience. Dynamic stretches are great as they replicate game movements, definitely worthwhile. And yes, yoga is amazing for the body. And translates and improves fitness, suppleness and toughenes you up all around!
Any advice about fingers? I've watched your video about taping, and i do, but i injured both ring fingers about a month ago and sometimes they just ache for no reason, also they sometimes hurt when i make saves with the tips(i'm using fingerless glove) Thanks
Hey, how's it going IceWolf? In all honesty that's why I wear normal GK gloves. I enjoy the feeling of fingerless however the tips of my fingers often get hurt. y'know that fingertip save that just clips the tips of your fingers, it always hurt mine. So, I switched back to full GK gloves and I feel confident and my fingers have not been injured since. Sorry if that's not overly helpful, but I did have a similar issue!
David , I am playing 5 a side (6 a side actually) , im having trouble to position myself during corner kicks. I usually block the first post but often end up taking a goal due to my defense's bad marking. I feel that i am a bit useless blocking the angle next to my post. Any idea ?
Get two players to form a wall close to the kick taker, stand in the middle if your goal with your hands and eyes view, then trust your reflexes. If your defence is annoying, then join a better team :)

Could you make a video about how to shoot directly if the goalkeeper is out of position
I can try and get one of the outfielders involved and get them to talk it through! Great idea, I'll see what I can do!

Nike Tiempo?
When the best time to warm up before match??
I do it just before, get yourself warm and ready. If you do it really early you'll just cool down.
@@DavidHaynesGK ok then. Thanks so much.. your videos help me alot.
please add Indonesian subtitles :)
I'll try for you :)
