Definitely a very powerful move when dealing with awful people you do not like, especially narcissists and people who have wronged you - and I speak from direct experience! Narcissists feel invalidated by this tactic and try with ever more desperation to get your attention via their obnoxious behaviour - the trick is to "never" under any circumstance let them trigger you or pay them even the slightest amount of attention. They eventually skulk away feeling utterly humiliated and invalidated. This is also a 'power move' to use in a public setting against people who have seriously wronged you and are looking for your 'attention'. With one's back to your object of disgust, they would have to overtly pick a fight with you in order to get your attention and make themselves look bad in the process. Do not under any circumstances look or flinch! Your back to them tells them absolutely everything that needs to be said to them, i.e., "you are not worth my time to look at, much less talk to - plus, you are so insignificant I don't even fear you attacking me!" The most powerful silent manner of letting your enemies know their position in relation to oneself. Do try it! ;-)

@@jamarehire2011 Interestingly enough, that's not true! See, we are seeing and hearing the story from Merlin himself through his eyes as it happens. But the story he is telling the audience leaves out Queen Mab entirely so as to not accidentally ressurrect her. That's why Frik approaches him at the end and says, "I was surprised you decided to omit certain...." and Merlin responds with, "Oh, that's the way they like it and besides, they wouldn't have believed it if I told it the way it really was." or something along those lines. Haha! I thought it was a very clever way to explain that.
As a much younger person watching this I felt sad that the old ways and the magic had all left. I felt that Christianity had cheated the world out of magic and replaced it banality.
King Arthur's legends were very popular with Christians. And Christians back then and still believe a literal miracle occurs in every Holy Mass...if anything Modernism and scientifism (the belief that everything is reducible to reason and science) has killed magic, not Christianity.
