    Thank you Wedding Crashers for a great trip. I am surprised Neenee did not lock the door when you went shower and then ask you for the key when you came back. Would have been funny with you locked out with just a towel on. Have a great day guys and I’ll be lookin for the next clip. Be safe and good luck. 🤞🏻🙏🏻

    Hi Todd and Neenee,, Great little trip, beautiful area , reminds me of wet western Oregon. That resort is awesome , the river beautiful. The road to the resort looked well built, i could see actual gravel. It looked solid,like it wouldnt easly wash away. Hope you are both well and continue to stay safe. Three family friends here have mothers in California and Texas that have the virus,one in Texas is in intensive care hosptal with double pnuemonia. Over 200 cases here in Montana now. Take care you two,,,,Marlon

      Hello my friend. Absolutely beautiful place. Would love to see it with rice fields growing. Maybe we'll come back then. We're not making any plans for anything right now though. Just waiting to see what the aftermath of this brings.. Don't know when I'll be able to return to work, and when I do I may have to stay a little while to catch up. Sooner or later I can see myself running out of video to edit because of no travelling and the lockdown... by then I think I'll be due for a little break anyway. We'll see. Nothing is guaranteed anymore..
      Double pneumonia is not good mate. You be sure to take care of yourself and family. Always look forward to your comments and what's happening on your side mate 🙏

    I have been there 3 years ago and we stayed at ThongDam Guesthouse. 10$ for own nice bungalow with terrance and view to the mountains over the tobacco field. Best bungalow I had so far for this price. Make sure to check out Tham Non Cave! When we been there, there was no water inside but some smaller pools where local people were fishing. Amazing memory!

    Yes, the hot boxes in Laos have a habit of blowing their fufu valves. Simple solution is to but a "Stiebel Eltron" which have a re settable cut out, which prevents the disintegration of the said fufu valve.

    I've been to that area and stayed at Spring River Resort several times. It is beautiful and ultra-peaceful. The resort itself is not as nice as it used to be in my opinion, despite its expansion with the extra cabanas. It's too expensive and the restaurant has less choices now than it did under the previous ownership (French with Lao wife). I would not recommend it. Stay in the area but there are much better accommodations closer to the park at the end of the road where you can catch a boat through the cave and save the exorbitant fee the Swiss guy who owns the resort will charge you. You have to change boats at the park anyway so why bother with the extra fee?

    I have 2 questions and if you could answer them for me:
    a). Do you need to reserve the resort ahead of time?
    b). If you don't drive, is it possible to reach this resort or if they offer any kind of pick up or transfer to this resort? Thank you

    • @phillipleblanc7823
      @phillipleblanc7823 4 года назад

      You do not need to reserve the resort except during high season. If you want one of the 6 cabins you can see along the river, it would be best to reserve them. I believe they are about $60-70 a night. Very very expensive for Laos. There are several little cabanas in the back that are around $15 a night. These do not have air-con or bathrooms. The bathrooms and showers are in a separate building behind. There are raised wooden walkways everywhere and it is well lit at night. The restaurant lacks choices for food. I would suggest staying at another resort along the road. There are plenty. If you want to hang out on the restaurant deck at Spring River resort, you can. Understand that once the sun sets, it doesn't matter where you are because you can't see anything anyway.
