We got some of our first prints under our belt! We also give our first impression of the press. I'm sure I may have missed something... what do you feel I missed?
Mikey Designs & Silk Screen Hey Mikey, hope you are doing well. I have some pretty big customers that I can probably send you business. Would you be open to giving me commission on orders? If so, how much percentage can you offer?
my experience with my titan is don't use the step back. use the cycle mode (revolver) insread. My biggest learning curve was with the quartz flash. start with temp setting of 3.5 (no higher) then start with 8 sec or so then move down once the pallets get warm. I messed up many shirts getting going. I'm happy with mine 3 years in and making money. Good luck.
This is crazy. I just started at a print shop and we have this machine and I was looking for videos to help me learn/understand it faster and this video was the first I looked at. That first design you printed is for my all time favorite music artist Pretty Lights. Such a fantastic coincidence!
You look so comfortable using the Red Beast it fits you perfectly and it didn't look like you had any problems to me! Great video Matt and thanks for sharing Stay Blessed...that red looks good in your shop ;)
OMG the tech geek in me is sooooo fascinated by this, thanks for sharing. I plan on building a one station press. obviously not this flash as your beast, but it is good inspiration for me.
I would highly suggest going with either M&R or ROQ if you are looking to buy an automated screen printing press. Since day one I've had nothing but problems with my Anatol Titan. They use cheap parts and things are constantly breaking down.
When I printed on 100 percent poly camo, I used silicone ink and it cured at a low temp but also the white looked like it had bleed through but then became bright white, it was amazing stuff it works on only 100 poly but you could look into that too.
One stroke cures at a low temp, it's expensive but cures at the lowest temp. But I think you also need the lowest bleed ink you can get. Sometimes you get those shirts that are like a pigment dye screen printed fabric, a zim gun will take out the dye those need like a gray blocker base but they still can bleed through on transfers, ink and vinyls, it blows.
I have some one stroke. We love it. I'm guessing it's because these are sublimated. I bought some armor / gray ink from Wilflex which I'm going to give a try.
Some tri blends will cook like bacon, depends on the brand next level black heather are the worst. On the Sabre I heat the platens up and then a turn the flash to 2.8 seconds then drop it .2-.4 seconds every 15- 20 shirts until I get to 1.5 seconds at 44- 51 dozen per hour. On the MR they have an automatic sensor to keep them from burning bad but I haven't worked on very many new MRs presses.
Careful with the "Step Back" feature. I stopped using it because once the pallets are hot, you can accidentally cure the ink in the mesh because the step back happens so fast.
Ive been thinking of seeing if i can get side clamps for mine, because i believe they would take the problem of things getting out of registration out of the picture.
Good Video! On the fence about getting an Anatol with the 9th head setup like yours that swings out of the way. Now that you've had your Titan for a while do you think that 9th head was a good option or you don't use it often?
Nice! We love having the feature. Helps with large runs that don't need more than 7 colors. It allows us to have a loader and unloader to get the job out quickly.
Any problems with the squeegee sliding out of angle? We use 20 degrees and if there’s any slight amount of too much pressure, it just flops back to 30. Seems better after anatol replaced all our squeegee holders for us though. On more than 2 color jobs, we find cycle mode best since the ink stays too hot. You find that too?
No problems with the squeegee sliding out of angle. They held like a champ. I ran that 3rd job with the hot pink and gold shimmer on cycles. I didn't run into any issue with the ink staying too hot. I'll report back if I run into any issues. Thus far, I'm very happy with it.
What mesh count do you do the camos on? I did a little over 200 of them and the dye that's used does not play well with the inks...lol step back/revolver mode is pretty helpful when you have a small job and don't want to make 2 screens.
I agree! Which is why we gave the step back function a try. I was using 200 mesh. We've had issues in the past with some camo shirts. I got some Armor Wilflex ink I'm going to give a try. Was $150 for the gallon eek.
@@mikeydesignssilkscreen473 I only use it for runs 100 and under. I still manage to do about 300+ per hr like that. Flash on 2.5 sec and squeegee at a speed of 5 and takes about 1min to do a full round until the 2nd pass,so 12 shirts off the press every 2 min.

Thanks, Denise!!! Haha, still learning it a little bit, but it was easy to pickup for the most part and we're loving the red in the shop!
Hey Mikey! Great work!! Just wondering what size your pallets are and where you got those black test pallons to fit it?

Why not use a highlight white screen and fly through that first job? Step back mode seems hella slow. Might as well print them manually lol.
LOL! We were a little behind on keeping screens ready due to the press move.
Mikey Designs & Silk Screen been there! Looks like a nice set up. Looking forward to seeing more.

We are considering the Anatol titan. What part of yours pneumatic? Is it just the lifting motion of the carousel?
Just the lift and squeegee pressure.

I used to sell Anatol machines. Why did you choose the Titan instead of the vault? Just curious.
It was just the next stepping stone and already had a compressor.
@@mikeydesignssilkscreen473 I sold a bunch of them. They are well put together and you get a lot of bang for your buck.

Are these all electric machines
The Volt is. Our has an air lift and air squeegee cylinder to apply the pressure, but the squeegee carriage is adjustable with turn knobs.
Your titan is ASA or ASE?
ASE.
what's the cost?
You'll have to talk with Anatol.
how much this thing cost???
Reach out to Mike or Ken at Anatol! Great peeps and they'll hook you up with current pricing.
Is that Floyd Mayweathers Logo on the wall?
No. It's a singer in Vegas named Frankie.
How much does it cost???
Give Mike at Anatol a call. I'm not comfortable sharing the cost but they would be happy to get you a quote.
