people are so obsessed with "tie ins" and hidden meanings to every little detail of a design, that the concept of just making a good clean sharp classic uniform that will stand the test of time gets completely lost..... not that these are terrible, the Texans did decent overall, but this idea that every new uniform has to have 17 tie ins and little hidden details from top to bottom is actually kinda stupid..... take the Detroit Lions for instance, Lions aren't native to Detroit, their color is Honolulu Blue and last i checked Detroit ain't in Hawaii.... yet their classic uniforms from 30-40 years ago are STILL today widely regarded as incredible..... people try way too hard these days, i blame hipsters
I haven't heard one person from the Texans organization say the color rush uniform is an "ode to the Houston Oilers". It's an ode to Houston, that shade of blue was in the city flag, the old cop cars and the blue tiles on street curbs before the Oilers used it. I'm also willing to bet Bud Adams used that blue primarily because of his allegiance to Kansas University rather than his love for the city of Houston. Your takes here are really weak because you didn't do your research, and it's especially hard to take you seriously about anything design related when the graphics overlayed onto this video are poorly done. You should delete this video since you sound uninformed about the actual reasons behind the design choices. If you're just looking for clicks or reactions, keep it up, you'll get more people like me willing to waste their time trying to educate you on stuff you probably don't really care about.

@@damonamendoour team is the Bull team so the bull horns on the jerseys won’t become outdated. As time goes on we will just modernize them but the city of Houston loves them and you mess with the bull you get the horns

If you look at the street names on sidewalks in old Houston neighborhoods as well as the city flags and old police uniforms, late 90’s rockets etc. it’s a pretty prominent color here more than just the Oilers, however I do agree that if they are doing the H town blue they need to go all in not just highlights

The H town Oilers inspired helmets are fire. It's the closest we can get to the Oilers which we should still be able to have. It is just terrible Tennessee won't let Houston have them back. Most Titans fans don't even care about the Oilers.
Supposedly the Titians owners fought really hard to make sure Houston couldn’t go all out with the blue color…the fact that they got a little bit of it is surprising

It LITERALLY was NEVER about the Oilers. It was about being able to represent THE CITY. Our police cars used to be "H-Town Blue." Most of the street curb lettering is "H-Town Blue." And again, our CITY FLAG is "H-Town Blue...."

They were not allowed to use the light blue more than an accent color by the league. Also the H logo is a shout out to HTown...which is what this uniform is for a tribute to the city
