What I think I know of Rick Astley (I'm his gen) is he was a runner/gopher/teaboy for the music co. and got a chance to sing a song. He brought a bag with his own clothes and did a video for the song. The song was a big hit and Rick Astley followed up with some more and was all over the UK charts in '87 '88 ish. Saw Rick live in the Netherlands at an 80s retro party. The venue had room for about 10k people but there were only about 2000 people there. Rick smashed it. He sang flawlessly and loved every minute of it. What a stellar performer with a golden voice.

You didn’t expect a voice like that coming out of such a baby face. I love his voice.

What I think I know of Rick Astley (I'm his gen) is he was a runner/gopher/teaboy for the music co. and got a chance to sing a song. He brought a bag with his own clothes and did a video for the song. The song was a big hit and Rick Astley followed up with some more and was all over the UK charts in '87 '88 ish. He was on that road of fame and fortune when he turned away and prioritised his family life instead. 'Never gonna give you up' respect Rick Astley. Very '80s pop machine stuff at the time, but classic legend now.

It was a bit back in the 80s and became famous once again years later bc of an internet meme. It’s a song that’s never gonna be forgotten, hence the never gonna give you up, lol. Great song

Saw Rick live in the Netherlands at an 80s retro party. The venue had room for about 10k people but there were only about 2000 people there. Rick smashed it. He sang flawlessly and loved every minute of it. What a stellar performer with a golden voice.
