Great video. And thanks for not editing out the error. It makes a lot of us feel normal when we make mistakes 👍
That’s a great way to break down the plywood. So much better than trying to wrangle it to the table saw or hunch over it on the ground. Great job on the video too!
Nice looking cabinet. Came out awesome.
You did a great job covering all the details. Thanks for making this look easy enough that I might try and attempt it!
Thanks for all of the great ideas. Also a happy 4th to you & family.
Just came across this video. Great work and Thank You for providing links to everything!
Great looking cabinet! I really like the door!!
Hi Matt, I've been thinking about building a cabinet for a water dispenser in my house, so even if I don't have the tools you have, this is great to start figuring out the step by step and keep me going with that project. Thanks for the video buddy, looking forward for more!
Really? Thinking about it? Well here is a break down for ya. Step one, get all the tools that he has. After spending 10k on tools, don't forget step zero, which comes before step one. Get a big house with a two garages (one for your cars, one garage for your new shop that will house the 10k worth of tools you bought for in the first step. That comes obviously after you pay off your credit card debts that you used to pay for said tools and the dream of yours, and the credit repairing that needed to be done in order to bring your score up to be able to approve for that bigger house and garage. Now you can move on to step two, and that is to learn the techniques of carpentry, jointery and whathaveyou and begin building yourself the water dispenser of your dreams. Then step 3, invest in quality video production tools and high end computers (another 10k) to start your own channel and social media following to make back some of what you spent on the tools and big barn house this past few years. Or, skip all this and pay your local Joe Moe carpenter RUclips dude to build one for ya and there ya go. Cheers.
Nice and simple cabinet thanks for the idea
Nice little cabinet, I'm going build 2 for the Mrs.
I want that cabinet!..
and I want it now!!...Fantastic build
Hey Matt, Really enjoined this video!
Good job on the cabinet.... Oh and keep them videos coming!!!
Awesome 😎!!!
Love how you showed your mistake with regards to the door. We all make these mistakes and it shows that even someone of your skill calibre can also make mistakes.
Outstanding!!!
Your shop is beautiful!
Nice build, thanks for the video
Very beautiful cabinet
Thanks for the video. It helped me out with my cabinet. I would have liked to see a wide view of the full cabinet from all four sides with the door open and closed. Because I am not very good at this stuff and seeing a bit more would have been useful. I appreciate the work.
Very nice job.
Great job
Great video. Thanks for sharing!
Great video Matt! thanks! Im wondering, could you do the same type of door and hinges without the frame on the cabinet?
Well done!
looks nice, now attach 1/8” thick soft weather seal to the inside edge of the door to keep the dust out and keep it as dust free as possible.
i did this to my shop cabinets and it works great. i did compensate for the weather stripping but if it’s 1/8” thick and soft, it may be five and the door should close tight enough.
although one of my cabinet doors twisted and has an opening but the rest are fine.
just a thought.
I dig ur style man. Keep up the good work!
👍
Great cabinet. What hinges did you end up using? Thanks!
Great build
Very nice job!👏🔥💪
Thank you!
Gran trabajo señor. Yo hubiera colocado 3 bisagras. Saludos
Nice work.
Thx
great vid where did you get the expandable supports
love them pre finished plywood
I get them from the lumber yard here in Houston $37 for a 4x8
Home dept or Lowe’s won’t match these prices
0:53 secs in and I'm in love. Visually if you can show us how to make all of that you have us all in your pocket.
awesome job
Awesome video man!
Thanks brother!
Awesome video!!!! What's the expandable table you used to cut sheet goods on?
Like this cabinet a lot. I need to find the countersink bit and driver you were using for the drywall screws.
Do you have a video on the fence on your table saw?
I like it very much awesome. ❤️😌😌😌🌝😎😃😃😃😃😃
Nice...could do with a little handle
Thank u!
Great vid and nice cabinet if I have all those tool and not buying just to build a few cabinets.
Looking for something more simple
If all you need is a few cabinets and that's it, I'd seriously look into just buying them from a big box or local cabinet shop. The amount of money saved versus the quality you can get for just a bit more money is worth it 👌
Great
Is it screwed against the wall for stability? I have similar tall cabinet for kitchen space, but not sure how to prevent it from falling in the front. Any suggestions?
Thanks for the video Matt! I’m really enjoying all of your content. Keep up the great work! My next project is a crosscut sled. Any chance you can share the video and plans of your sled? I don’t see it in the description. Thanks!
Sorry it took so long to find your channel. Nice.
No worries! Glad you're here now!
How do you hold the track saw?
What kind of plywood are you using?
Great job 👍, but how about the measurements?
Hello, very nice job~ could you tell me what kind of glue contain in you borad? I have tried to diy this kind of cabinte for home but smell so bad, I think it is because of MDI glue. How do you solve this? Thanks very much.
Where do you purchase the expandable work support?
should the door be the same width as the width of the cabinet? thanks
Do you have pricing on with the material cost you
What kind of table saw are you using?
I’d love to see you do,this with the average man’s half ass tools. Most of us barely have a table saw.
What type of router did you use to cut those dados
Can please put a link where I can purchase the aprons
Hello Matt, I am really enjoying your videos, and just subscribed to your channel. My question is you mention the already finished plywood, where do you get that? Also your reference some special type of wood glue that sets up a little quicker and it’s a little thicker. I didn’t see it in the video description I just saw a normal type on. Is there a special glue you used? Thanks for making your videos
There's a plywood warehouse in Nashville that I get all my prefinished plywood from. And the glue you're referring to is called Titebond Quick & Thick👍
Hey I love it man! Can you drop a link to that countersink you’ve got there
www.amazon.com/Amana-Tool-Countersink-Adjustable-No-Thrust/dp/B00BJFK6N6/ref=as_li_ss_tl?keywords=amana+countersink+drill+bit&qid=1569779774&sr=8-1-spons&psc=1&smid=A1WO0LWTFI0BL8&spLa=ZW5jcnlwdGVkUXVhbGlmaWVyPUEyWFBWUkZSVTFZOVkyJmVuY3J5cHRlZElkPUEwNDUwMzUzSUk1TUk0MUFRSUwxJmVuY3J5cHRlZEFkSWQ9QTA1MTMwMzYxRURGRVcxNEcwTFFSJndpZGdldE5hbWU9c3BfYXRmJmFjdGlvbj1jbGlja1JlZGlyZWN0JmRvTm90TG9nQ2xpY2s9dHJ1ZQ==&linkCode=sl1&tag=mwawoodwork03-20&linkId=2ff7df52b2ac5da73970e71479e37189&language=en_US
I need a craig jig, I'm gonna build a cabinet for my music studio. I kinda wish I had not bought cherry cabinets for other things in the room, because now I have to buy 3/4 cherry ply. Its HIGH as ____
Cool Video, thanks for sharing. I don't have access to tools you have, can this be accomplished effectively without the full shop?
At a minimum you'd need a table saw to make the cuts assuming you can get pre-milled lumber to be able to make the door. Then you'd need at minimum a drill/driver set for assembly and if you don't have glue and clamps you'd need a kreg jig to make pocket holes.
Any thing can be done
If theres a will theres a way , just may take some problem solving and elbow grease! Im 16 been wood working since 14 had to figure out some my self and improvise, i had no access to the internet until august. Made my first joinery box in march with a hacksaw and a bayonet
How I beed that to place my mop broom etc.
Always thought that foam will dull your blades
i know prices have changed, but can you tell me the approximate cost in materials?
Great video. Why did you switch to 1/2 rabbit on the rear of the side panels?
Because I used a half inch plywood panel for the back
Ahh, makes sense. Thanks
Great job with the video. Unfortunately, however, I don't have a router, planer, or joiner. In your future videos, I'd love to hear alternative ways to getting a similar result with more basic tools. You should challenge yourself to make a video on how to make a similar (but perhaps more simple) cabinet for the average (or beginner) woodworker! That would be a great video!
Well, what kind of tools do you have? As long as you can get pre-surfaced lumber you don't need a jointer or planer. And a frame and panel door can be made entirely on a table saw. In fact I have a video on that.
Time is money for a woodworker. It's never a smart idea to build something with less tools than they have.
If you don't have those tools, maybe this video isn't for you
Go to ikea.
дверь шире поначалу показал -потом вдруг уже стало промахнулся походу с дверкой )
Drywall screws are brittle! If you remove drywall the screws in the stud is snapped off with a hammer.
.
Can you make a video on the cabinet that you have all of your power tools and batteries on?
I build that cabinet using plans from Fix This Build That 👍
@@MWAWoodworks Thanks! Keep up the great work!!
How would this be different if you had 2 or more of these next to each other?
You'd have three instead of one 🤷♂️
If I only had the tools you have. Got the hand tools and a table saw.
Tim, I thought I was the only one here without a budget of 7 million dollars to build a nice man cave like he has. Me, I have a hand saw and a screwdriver. Also me: I am gonna build me a cabinet with doors with my 2 tools. Nice video though.
Who makes the expanded plywood support please ?
Check out my latest holiday tool video 👍
Dude how much is that grade of finish play per sheet? I can't even find a sheet of 3/4 for under 50 bucks
It's about 70 bucks. And worth every penny saved in sanding and finishing
Go to woodprix if you'd like to know how to make it easy. Good solution for every woodworker.
Well, that was unexpected
Legit cabinet 201.
I know it’s been a year but that really nice.
Your a pro. How much does it cost to have u make me 1 for my bathroom? Height 84....width 23....depth....24 inches...need 4 shelves . Or have someone like you make it?
$550
what mask are you using?
RZ mask 👍
What if the only saw I have are a hand circular saw and a chop saw? I can’t afford those fancy tools you have.
Get a piece of foam insulation and make a straight guide for your circ saw. You don't need a chop saw for plywood. You'll have to make a much simpler style door because you can't make frame and panel doors with the tools you have, sorry.
Before i proceed waching the video i need like $5000 to buy all the tools you used
Why do you need the tools I use?
How to make a cabinet with only the tools in your cabinet factory...
😂😂😂😂
cool
Little too fast...
Snake
Nice, but not for beginners.
Great, too bad you need about $5K in tools and equipment to do it.
No you dont
Good afternoon Sir. We think you have a very interesting channel! Would you mind to share your business email with us? Thank you and have a nice day!
I will never order from zomato... Stupid ad
Step 1 buy $8000 worth of tools
oi vey RIP my poor ears...guess that's the disadvantage of a wireless system. you walk a few feet to get something and by sad coincidence, the video you were watching plays a high pitched power tool whine. You either pull out the buds and instinctively scream, startling your house mates OR if they're cans, you frantically press the ( - ) volume hopefully to mute the sound before you go momentarily deaf. NGL, that was painful, have your laugh sir. So many videos like this on RUclips (and not just woodworking guys) who think painful sounds are cool elements to include in their episodes (I mean they can lower the levels. Yes, I'm referring to the title card, not the build itself).
Thousands of lifetime projects with Stodoys plans.
Outstanding !!!
