I’m the new of that Acura. Needless to say it was neglected. The motor had to be changed out. Had codes for misfire straight across all the cylinders. Previous owner had used head gasket additive so the insides where gummed up Since April the car is now almost back within spec. Just need to redo the seats. GPS was replaced Newer engine complete reseal New spoiler New passenger mirror Power steering pump, ac vents Paintless dent removal for those rear dents and quarter panel dent Needless to say I love the car now, but I’m about 8k total in the car
I like that Acura Type-S. Though you spent $8K but believe me it is worth it and will go up in prices in the future especially your car has clean title. I bought my 335i 2 years ago from CoPart and every single glass panel was shattered. Total cost was $4400 but the car did not have a major mechanical problem like yours (it was misfiring due to bad sparkplugs, the previous owner replaced the original ones with a crappy ones).
Auto Auctions is right. So long as youre happy which i know anyone who owns this car is, then the 8k is nothing when you can sell the car for 10k right now atleast. another 10 yrs down the road the car will be seen as a rare 90’s type sports car and yours will be the cleanest! i have two & like you i got one of them for a steal with obvious issues but im more than happy to put in the work
it also looks like someone had parted a few things off the car while it was sitting. No reason for the spoiler to be bolted off and missing along with the engine covers & vents. I hate thief’s
It was sold, a long time ago (I did not buy it, someone else did from CoPart). I will be looking at some 2012 Acura TL this week, Will upload videos Wednesday afternoon, stay tuned and thanks for watching.

why is there so much oil in that acura. way overfilled. Prob why its leaking on the cat
I think it leaks from the valve cover gasket onto the exhaust manifold
I'd take that Acura
