@@fahadking5553 versus will prob work but since gd is made in cocos2dx rob has to def get an multiplayer extension and make it p2p since dedicated multiplayer would fuck up his servers so p2p ks choice dont blame him for chossing a bad multiplayer model ik it lags but its optimal and easy to host especially on a 2d game engine

Welcome to Geometry Dash 2.2. After 7 years in development, hopefully, it will have been worth the wait.
This game changed from a simple 2d platformer to an entire game engine in itself, where you could in theory create actual projects outside of just "Geometry Dash -style" levels... Absolutely crazy

He programmed more in 2.2 than mojang did in like 5 years

I was 13 when the first sneak peak came out. Almost 6 years later and I’m 18 with a full time job still consistently playing the game. Very exited to see how creators utilize this update, can’t wait for gameplay.

The fact that this is currently #9 on trending (may have been even higher earlier) just shows how much hype 2.2 has had over the hears. as someone thats been here since late 1.7 its incredible seeing how far the game has come. never once could my 4th grade brain ever imagine how incredible levels nowadays are, and now things are only going to get even more insane. thanks for a monument in my childhood rob
same here but the peak of 1.6! this is one of the most well designed video games of our time, and has the greatest platformer level editor of them all. its also crazy to think that i was in elementary school when 2.1 released, and now ive graduated high school 😂
I didn't think 2.2 was gonna be super huge, like just a game mode, some editor stuff, etc. But after seeing what's been added to the editor, the amount of new cosmetics QOL changes, and everything else, i am beyond impressed. Thank you Rob, you made us proud.

Even though the last update was so long ago, you can see just how much work has gone into this one. 13,000+ sound effects, FIVE NEW LEVELS, a new gamemode, totally revamped editor and character customization, 700 new icons (which is almost double the amount available across EVERY version if geometry dash), and probably tons of stuff we don’t know about yet. RobTop, though the wait has been long and rough at times, your dedication to this game and this community is unlike any solo developer I’ve ever seen. Thank you for this amazing game

Been here since 2.0. That was when I was a mere child. I still remember being overwhelmed with joy when I beat back on track. I still remember my brother getting mad at having 300 attempts on stereo madness.
Everytime I watch this trailer, I'm overwhelmed with a feeling that you cant really describe. It's a feeling of hysterical joy, and at the same time tears. Seeing it all together, and finally just about to be complete feels like a longing coming to an end.
I'm so glad I got this game all those years ago because I never would have been able to appreciate such a moment like this. ♥️
