How the process might look like if i use the leoxz qr2 core ? it has already those additional holes. would i be able to install it from outside ? i am also woried how the space is between wheel and base considering the usb connection. would it fit ? by that question i am just considering if the SRM adapter is to provide proper hole pattern or also provide enough space/gap for proper usb connection allignment... great materials btw !
I do not know how the Leoxz mounts the QR. You may want to ask them directly. Ascher has added a detailed instruction page in their documentation.
How’s the grip size? Is it on the large side or the small side?
I’d like it to be a bit bulkier, but with gloves it fits my hands perfectly.
If I were to give it a size, I’d say mid. This is obviously objective, but it’s definitely not a “small”.
Do it work on the csl dd 8nm ??
Compatibility wise, no problem. You'll just need to fit the proper QR on to the wheel and use some kind of emulator so the CSL DD thinks it's a Fanatec wheel. As for the power, 8Nm should be ok, but I cannot say for sure as I've never tested it myself.
This is a great wheel, pretty and functional in every aspect... BUT.... way too much waffling to mount a QR...
Not all QR’s have the same mounting process. Most will likely just use the external threaded screws. This being the QR2 requires the use of the SRM Adapter, which in return requires the use of both threaded and non threaded screws. It’s why I made the video…
@@LovelySimRacing I get the adapter part. What I meant was that you should be able to mount the QR without having to open the steering wheel and much less having to disconnect those cables (and by all means that wheel is not alone in that department).
For the less savvy and able, reconecting those little cable is an accident waiting to happen. One that will not be covered by warranty.
@TiagoSilva-zg5gc you can just use an extender and mount it on the outside. I chose not to… it is up to you. All options are valid.
@@LovelySimRacing ahhhh... Good to know... That certainly makes it much better
To mich money for asher
No one is claiming this steering wheel to be "affordable", but you do need to remember that it is an official McLaren product made with the actual real racing car components. This wheel lives on the top end of the sim racing spectrum ;)
So the wheels gonna be usable for decades of sim racing, whit good care?
@@Zero.X Who knows, maybe USB will be obsolete in ten years...
🤣🤣 1500€ to much.. Look on other brands now way you can get this quality for this money
At this price point, for the quality you are getting, there’s no match. Don’t forget, this wheel is made with the exact same components you’d find in a real McLaren racing car. There are wheels out there, far more expensive that cannot claim that.
But, yes, it is a premium wheel and it is very expensive. Albeit, if you’re in the market for a high end wheel, this is where you need to look at.
@@LovelySimRacing the price is totally fine for the wheel.. Tried on simracing expo last year many wheels and also more expensive ones... No one matched the quality of the Ascher Artura wheel...
