Jarilo is old Slavic sun god, if Star Rail is using our earth astronomical naming schemes then Jarilo is probably the star and Jarilo-6 is the 6th planet in it's system. Belobog is also the name of old Slavic god of fortune, luck and happiness. The whole world is loosely Russian themed with the city architecture resembling a mix of 19th century St. Petersburg, Paris and some Frostpunk/Steampunk vibes. Landau family(Gepard, Serval, Lynx) is inspired by Soviet scientist Leo Landau, Bronya, Cocolia, Seele, Natasha are all from Siberia in mhy previous game Honkai Imapct 3rd, Pela's full name is Pelageya Sergeyevna.
The Herta Space Station Arc was whatever, it's a prologue and it's as good as it needs to be for a Prologue. Introduces some mainstay characters, establishes a main goal (Finding out your memories/Taking care of the Stellaron inside you) and sets you off on a journey much like any game with a story
It's when I went through the whole story of Jarilo-VI/Belobog when I realized that "Oh shit, this game HAS a story to tell" and is definitely one of the strongest points in the whole game itself. And especially being the lore nerd that I am, I have to say, Star Rail satisfied the itch for a game that has deep worldbuilding and Lore behind it.
Oh and don't even get me started with the OST, Hoyo's Music Team always COOKS when it comes to music on each "arc" so it definitely won't disappoint (especially in one specific moment in the Jarilo-VI story that I won't get into because spoilers)
Anyway here's some more fun tidbits of Gameplay and Lore that you might find interesting:
Aeons are literally Gods and beings of unfathomable scale. Born from ideologies they follow to a T, they ascended to Aeonhood and gained immense power. Each faction/Planet/Group of people more or less follow a set "Path" much like how religion works irl. The people of Belobog follow the Aeon of Preservation Qlipoth and much like their path suggests, they strive to Preserve their Civilization through the never-ending winter. Another example would be Herta and the Genius Society which follow the Aeon of Erudition Nous, a giant supercomputer that ascended to Aeonhood. Aeons can also gaze unto people to grant them power regardless if they follow their path or not (the big kinda naked man with white hair during the battle with the Doomsday Beast was the Aeon of Destruction Nanook granting you power). Basically, if you grab their attention by your actions somehow, you can get power directly from them if they think you're worthy enough
Paths can still be followed even if the Aeon governing that path is already long gone or dead (This is actually one of the main points in one of the stories down the line). Himeko and the Astral Express follow the Path of Trailblaze, with the Aeon of Trailblaze Akivili being long gone by now.
One thing you already noticed is that, characters in game have "Paths" according to what "class" they play in their gameplay. Destruction being the bruiser class, Hunt being Single-target DPS, Preservation being tanks and shielders, etc. This is purely for gameplay purposes and are used to signify their class and kit. March and Dan Heng being Preservation and Hunt respectively doesn't necessarily mean they're following that path Lore-wise.

Yeah although I still think it's a good intro. I like when they just throw you in the middle of the action without giving you much direct context and leave you with more questions than answers. It's good writing. Nothing more annoying to me than the typical "5.000 years ago, there was this faction who fought this other one over these crystals of power...". Don't care, bro, let me know the characters and figure out the lore as I go, don't tie me to my chair and give me a 15 min long lore dissertation right at the start 😅
Make sure to pace yourself to avoid burnout. It's easy to get carried away when popularity spikes, a video every other day isn't so bad. Even if your chill time is another project, just take care of yourself.

Reason why Silver Wolf and Bronya look similar is because they are based on the same character from Honkai Impact 3rd.
Bronya in Honkai Impact 3rd, after some time in the story, gets called Silver Wolf (IDK Honkai Impact 3rd lore so I'm just saying what I know)
So technically they are the same person but they aren't the same person in Honkai Star Rail.
Yep, "Silver Wolf of the Urals" used to be her moniker when she was a child soldier/assassin

This has been very enjoyable to watch, I can't believe how fast you're editing these! About the spoilers in the character archive - unfortunately they are unavoidable, as the game will literally shove them right in your face when these specific characters are on-banner.

Ah yes you saw the data bank. There is a lot of hidden lore in the game that explained indirectly outside dialogue and data bank and you can miss them completely. It is kinda fun to theory crafting and discuss lore.
I highly recommend you go back to the data bank and choose the factions icon, then find the Masked Fools faction and read the golden line at the top. Trust me, you will love it 😊

Not sure if anyone has mentioned this before, not a spoiler, but that Welt came from Honkai Impact 3rd. My man jumped from his universe to another
HI3 and HSR are in the same universe. I think you're using the HI3 terminology here, where they mistranslated "world" to "universe". But even then, while you're technically correct, it's not really anything special. The entire game is about jumping between different worlds with the Astral Express, so Welt having done it once himself... isn't that impressive from this perspective. There's so many characters in this who jump between worlds regularly.
@@Pamasich to be fair, everything is indeed a part of the same imaginary tree, or universe so you're correct on that one. But hopping from a world to another in star rail so far has been pretty different from hopping from the "leaves" of the imaginary tree to another.
@@Hei_Senlin It only looks different because HSR is currently going for a more down to earth approach to the imaginary tree / universe than HI3 did. We definitely do travel between leaves, that's what "world" refers to according to the data bank. It's just that in current HSR worldbuilding, the leaves are simply star clusters physically separated from each other by near impassable imaginary domains. Akivili's star rail is what has enabled those worlds to advance beyond the imaginary and contact each other. I do assume that's HSR simplifying it for now, they haven't even brought up the sea of quanta yet, so these civilizations clearly only have a surface level understanding compared to Earth. But that's why it looks like we're doing something different currently, that's just how the game is portraying what really happens.
@@Pamasich It might be possible for starrail to jump leaves since there's no evidence saying otherwise. But for now it has been entirely just jumping from planet to planet. It's comparable to going from Earth to Mars since everyone is aware that such places exist within the cosmos they are in. The characters in starrail are not aware of any other version of them existing and so far Acheron and Welt are the only ones. It has been said that the Luofu, Jarilo-VI, and Penacony are "worlds" but they are proven to be in the same leaf of the imaginary tree. They are not leaves on their own. What could be said as leaves are the Impact 3rd and Genshin verses. This can be proven further by Welt describing the happenings in his world and Acheron stating it also happened in hers with her, belonging to the starrail verse. If every planet were another leaf, then everyone would have different versions of themselves for every place they go to

Enjoying your videos! Remember you can heal your team by porting to a space anchor. Though you're likely to get a healer from the starter or standard gacha pretty quickly.
The game is quite rewarding to people who want to explore as well as fight. Pretty much everything that can be interacted with will give some minor loot or a weird/funny reaponse. Try interacting with one of the trashcans, a few times.

Heya, i like your vibe (and voice lol) so im gonna suggest you characters that can carry you throughout your journey.
Of course you can play with whichever characters you prefer. And my suggestions arent really based on the most powerful, but rather the easiness to build with low investment and minimal gacha.
For sustain and support:
[Abundance] gallagher: he is a 4 star with flexible usage and extremely useful eidolons (of course you don't need them for him to be useful)
[Harmony] trailblazer: you'll get him for free. Fairly easy to build and can make even the weakest dps deal high damage (as long as the enemies are weakness broken)
DPS and sub dps who synergize well with them:
[Destruction] firefly
[Destruction] xueyi
[Destruction] dan heng inhibitor lunae
[Hunt] dr. Ratio
[Hunt] boothill
[Nihility] acheron
[Nihility] jiaoqiu

Pompom is genderless, so they’re referred to as they/them! Same with all of the Aeons
Aeons are not reeeeally genderless. It’s basically localizations team interpretation of a very specific pronoun that exists in Chinese, which is only reserved for deities. If you’ve read any novels you’ll see that being used for characters of godly status regardless of their gender, but since it’s a concept that does not exist in Germanic languages, translators usually choose to highlight the by either writing it in italics, capitalizing it or just doing caps. With aeons it’s like there’s not much contextual info to suggest their gender (even if there is one, like IX is literally a concept), so the localization team substituted it for capital THEY for every aeon to highlight that aeons are more or less concepts. The Aeon of abundance has been referred by she/her before in a trailer, so its not that rigid.
Pom Pom is a similar situation, they just use a pronoun reserved for funny rambunctious characters/kids. No context to suggest their gender, so the localization team went with the safest route. Fun fact, Paimon also uses that pronoun in both CN and JP.

When i was newer player i added high AR people for clearing calyx (thats where u can invite their characters as support) it made farming really easy
love how the masked fools characters always help you to keep reaching your destination, they're super sus but help SO much. There's still a lot of unresolved mystery about Sampo btw
