I don't think Japanese manufacturer would name a car after American president. Taft is also glossy, silky fabric. Anyone knows the origin of the car's name?

@@Selrym I found it's origin! Taft actually stands for "Tough Almighty Four-wheel Touring" for the older model which was a jeep. The new Taft meaning is "Tough Almighty Fun Tool".
