This is Amazing! I wish I found this before working on a six panel spread with lots of logos just last week. Thank you so much, I'll definitely use this for logos in tables in the future!
Great video!! I have a question, appreciate it if you can help.. I have a table with numbers and have circled some patterns with these numbers, so I used the ellipse tool to create these circles. The problem is that it doesn't seem possible to select both the table and the circles to group them together, and it's a problem if they are not one single body. Any solutions?
I am writing a book for school and trying to do it on my own.. it has lots of text and some tables, I have created one single text frame for each page, I tried to select the table and circles from the layers tool, but the whole text and table are appearing as one item in the same layer, do you think I should put my tables in separate frames?
Yeah, if you need the tables and circles to move together (but the other text to remain), I’d separate them out. You can copy the whole table, paste into a sep text frame, add the circles, group the floating table and circle, then anchor that group to the main text frame. -EG
Great tutorial! It's a pity though linked images in the table don't work along with the linked excel after changes have been made and link is updated in indesign :/ the linked images will disappear
Yes, that’s sadly always been an issue. Same way you lose formatting if the Excel doc is updated. There are 3rd party products that can handle that. -EG
You can’t do auto bullets because they are each their own paragraph. And each table row is like a paragraph. You could split a cell multiple times to create distinct row. Or just manually type a bullet. -EG
OMG! Thank you! Dadgum it, I was frustrated before I found this!! Many thanks!
Bro...it took me an hour to find someone who had the answer to my problem. Well described and shown! Thank you.
BRILLIANT TIME SAVER. Thank you so much!
Boom! This was even more than I thought you could do. Amazing!

THANKS!!!!!!!
But what if I need the table to fit the image and not viceversa??

How to apply bullet number in Table? thank you?

WOW! SINCE WHEN IS THIS POSSIBLE!?!?!?! I hated to insert graphics in tables in Indesign until now.
