I find it very difficult to forgive when I have been wronged. I need God's help to forgive. 😔

If I'm not mistaken, forgiving doesn't mean forgetting.
You can use what they did as a reason to put restrictions on your relationship with that person: limiting contact with them, separating from them, not going out of your way for them etc.
You shouldn't be filled with anger and hatred toward them, fantasize about revenge, talk about them behind their back etc, by letting go of your anger and resentment not taking revenge, you have forgiven them. You don't have to maintain the same level of friendship or commitment to them, this is my interpretation of forgiveness.

I can relate to what you're saying. I have a hard time letting go as well. What I've learned while trying to forgive and move on is that forgiveness can be a process. If the hurt is deep, it will require healing. Forgiving and healing are linked but they're not the same. Sometimes, we have decided to forgive but we're still on the healing journey. Keep your heart inclined towards forgiveness and pray openly to God about your need for healing. God will always help us do his will when doing so is difficult.

I’ve been listening to the full length version of this on repeat! I’m having trouble forgiving an ex who discarded me for the fleeting pleasures of other girls. He’s not Christian. There are other ways he’s hurt me, gaslit me, lied to me, and manipulated me, and it hurts knowing he’s seducing other girls and no one knows he’s done wrong; even he doesn’t admit he’s done wrong. I haven’t gossiped about him to our mutual friends bc I know it would be wrong. I wish I could, but I won’t. Please pray for me that God would help me let go of my anger and bitterness and that I’d hand everything over to God. I want to be free from the weariness of carrying around all this desire for revenge. Lord please pick up my vengeance as I leave it at the foot of the cross.

I’m going through the same thing. Just keep praying and it’s okay to talk to people just don’t discord as in don’t bend the truth understanding that you had some flaws in it is okay. Learn from your mistakes and understand you where not the problem since he was the one who left. One thing I’m learning is the truth is setting me free. Pray for discernment and conviction.
Also pray for a heart of flesh and to remove that heart of stone

Try to look at the positives. Remind yourself God's got everything under control and he will provide someone who will love you and cherish you and be the man you need.

So many women are going through this continually. Warning others about evil is not gossip! Silence enables him in his antics with other women. Predators victimize others if they don’t experience consequences. The difference is to not harbor this bitterness and retaliate against him. Justice is appropriate if he is harming others. You know the circumstances, but if he’s doing anything criminal, it should be reported to authorities. If you know someone that is dating him, warn them. They may not listen, but at least they know

A repentant heart is a spiritual disposition we ought to walk in even after full repentance. In this we keep a heart of flesh instead of stone. We are the clay let God be The potter.

Yes we ought to pray for the salvation of others... Is not salvation the most profound vengeance? To those who are truly changed by the mercy and blood of Jesus Christ, is not the old life destroyed... Does not a Man perish on his conversion? All our sins warrant a death sentence... And yet we live anew in the mighty grace and mercy of our God through the blood of his son Jesus Christ...
And to those who do not repent and turn to the most high God... full and unmitigated wrath...
Surely we ought to pray for them..
    Nonetheless, I am settled.

Jesus existed as a person just like David Koresh and Jim Jones, but Jesus the messiah is a fictional figure posthumously glorified by anonymous hoaxer Christian writers falsely passing themselves off as someone who existed years before them from some other place claiming to be eyewitnesses to miracles. Religion has got you by the balls. LOL

Religion is not responsible for our desire to possess our thoughts. Everyone on the planet wants the same thing...soundness of mind...one that is not moved by the whims of men or the eventualities of life. Who doesn’t want to be able to say “I’m my own man” ...or woman?
Religion is just one attempt to provide that kind of identity. And no...it doesn’t work..but neither does secular humanism.
If we can at least agree on that much then a constructive dialogue can be had.

I don’t want vengeance on my enemies! I deserve it first! God’s vengeance is scary & not something to mess with. If they don’t repent I’d only want what Paul suggested in, *1 Corinthians 5:5* *to deliver such an one unto Satan for the destruction of the flesh, that the spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord Jesus.*
I’d leave the entire thing to God. He is Just & knows what is best.

You have to put it in God's hand and do not want revenge. Do not have any bad thoughts to come upon the other that's wronged you. It's often the ones that are supposed to love you. Your own family will betray you before any enemy. Sometimes you will live to see how God handles your betrayal from another. God judges not us. When God handles the betrayal it is your christian responsibility to be there and comfort the ones you have been betrayed or wronged against. Be there for them as Christ would in their time of need.

It's difficult because from a young age this world teaches us to do all for ourselves(this is good and bad) and we are commonly of low patience. So trusting another to avenge and recompense us goes against our internal programming. This where we become aware of our level of trust in God and the opportunity to grow in faith is presented. Internal programming vs the instruction of the holy spirit. The flesh wareth against the spirit and the spirit against the flesh indeed. What path will you choose?

I'm not sure if God exists or not, but these following paragraphs pretty much disprove the God of the Bible.
Humans turning sexually mature at around age 7 is expected from an unplanned, unintentional, unintelligent, unguided, imperfect, unkind, unethical, amoral, and mindless evolutionary process, but it is NOT expected from an omnipotent, omnipresent, omniscient, perfect, kind, ethical, moral, and mindful designer with intentions and an intelligent plan, unless the designer enjoys watching hormone packed teenagers suffer abstinence until they finish schooling and are ready for marriage at around age 25.
Lifeforms needing to kill each other for meat, & thousands of genetic diseases, are exactly what is expected from an unplanned, unintentional, unintelligent, unguided, imperfect, unkind, unethical, amoral, and mindless evolutionary process. But they are *NOT* expected from an omnipotent, omnipresent, omniscient, perfect, kind, ethical, moral, and mindful creator with intentions & an intelligent plan.
*FACT1-* Bible approves eating meat & it suggests what animals to slaughter & eat. *FACT2-* Bible teaches to thank God for giving you life & also for giving animals life for you to eat. *FACT3-* Bible teaches to thank God for choosing you out of many patients to recover from illness. *FACT4-* The same Bible that teaches "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you", also teaches how to: buy slaves, enslave children, pass slaves on to next generation as permanent inheritance, beat slaves as long as they don't die, & not treat relatives they way slaves are treated. *CONCLUSION-* Religion fools the gullible folks to believe in its imaginary God by exploiting their hypocrisy, narcissism, gullibility, ignorance & arrogance.

    • @HearGodsWord
      @HearGodsWord 4 года назад

Which paragraphs? Where in the Bible are you getting your inaccurate facts that have already been disproved to you? Sounds like you really don't have the first clue about Christianity because you're suggesting it's a form of legalism. No doubt you'll ignore my questions in the same way you ignore everything else, which suggests you must be the gullible one because you're not even trying to understand. You've ruined your own argument and you've also contradicted yourself too. Bravo!

“Letting go” of anger implies a defensive posture...a resistance of sorts. As believers we do neither! Ours is to capture, possess, and be rewarded.

I ask God to Bless my enemies too. This is very hard to do sometimes but it is best..given we are all sinners one way or another. I realized that when I ask God to Bless my enemy God will Teach him the Right thing to Do! And that is basically what we all want. Blessing our enemy does not mean God will go on blessing him in his wickedness. I had to think about that one for awhile!

If we hold onto the weight of anger and unforgiveness we block God from healing our hearts. It does not vindicate the offender to forgive them. They still owe God a debt if they do not repent and they will receive according to their works we must just trust God to repay and give up on personal recompense in order to receive healing. Let God be God and not us trying to be God.

      Hear God's Word
What makes you think that you can “let go” of anger? Do you really believe that you can make the conscious decision to forgive?
Scripture is very clear. It simply says, “ love your neighbor as yourself”. If that’s true, then the only way to understand anger and forgiveness is to understand just how much you love yourself. There’s no other way. You can pray all you want...you can tell yourself that you’re in compliance...or just flat out deny your guilt, but the fact remains, you can’t do it with personal effort, and I know that praying for it won’t happen because you’re asking God to remove something that is necessary for your personal discipline.
