Congrats Hunter I'm a big junky for early season elk hunting also . It gets hard when your exhausted to not lower your standards on a quality animal especially when your almost out of time my hat goes off to you !!
Sweat, blood, and tears! Persistence and positive mindsets were displayed here! Way to stick it out and keep battling! You have to love the journey as much as you love the prize! Hell of a bull and congrats!!
Nice video Kevin. Can’t believe how much hiking you all do to get your Elk or what ever you are hunting. Love everyones commentary on all of the hunts. You make us all feel like we are there with you. Thanks
Planning, scouting, Grit, determination, endurance and most importantly following through on the original goal! Every hunt has its challenges from dealing with weather to finding drinking water we have all been there. But most of all great job in showing the family aspect as well we all can relate the priorities of being a sportsman and a parent. Once again gents great video series! Look forward to what you guys got coming up, cheers and congrats on a well deserved elk!
Like the different camera work on this film, You guys really put a lot into that hunt, glad i didn't watch first thing this morning that would have been too early to see that much of Kevin's ugly mug. Nice Job Gentlemen !
Elk hunting takes a lot of dedication, long days and mental strength! Your guys films show that in every aspect of this elk series, and every other hunt! Congrats on a nice Arizona bull.
Brian Wooldridge that's crazy....don't see the point of a muzzleloader season when they shoot like a high powered rifle. Here in Colorado they don't allow scopes so guess that would cut down on a shootable distance even with a gun like that.
its allowed here, so we did our homework and we did it well. you'll see it in action on a couse buck in a week or so. when you do the homework and are allowed to shoot them scopes its no different then 200 yards, in the right conditions, and we had the perfect conditions , no wind.
Great video, way more action than I had on my 7E late rifle tag. I'd be curious about the muzzleloader. What kind? What loads? Maybe a video on load development and the groups it shoots.
Nice job Hunter! Good filming Kevin. Way to put in your work in some tough country. Thank you for all the film's and sharing the passion we all love. I finally got an early archery tag this year with 9 points. Can't wait. Keep up the good work.
Way to grind it out! Brings me back to my first elk hunt, late season rifle tag last year. Spent 9 days in the AZ elk woods with plenty of opportunities that I just couldn't capitalize on. Ended up with tag soup and a ton of elk knowledge. I'll be back at it this September grinding it out again. Congrats on a great bull!
Way to stick it out. I know those last few days can get a bit tough with the anxiety of possibly going home empty handed. Great bull and loved the elk videos.
I won't lie. I got so excited when I heard Hunter say "Monday morning, October 2nd. Day 4." At 0613 that same morning, my daughter killed her first bull in Unit 1 and I was thinking it would be a double lucky day. Great bull and way to stick it out. That's a Rem 700 Ultimate ML, isn't It? I've heard nothing but great things about those rifles.
I love mine, I've had it for almost 7+ years I think, gonna shift this year and move to Stone Glacier, a lot lighter to begin with and last year we used them on some hunts and they are really good, you'll see them on our hunts this year.
Another great video, Curious would you ever consider bring along a Mountain Project fan along for a hunt? If so, count me in. Thanks again for the great videos that you guys put out.
Even though I knew the outcome I really enjoyed the video. Way to grind it out through the mental and physical obstacles, sticking with it and reaping the rewards! Awesome as always!

The most underrated hunting channel on youtube. Y'all should have 50K subs minimum with the quality and quantity you are putting out.
thanks man!
450 Yards with a muzzleloader? Impressive. Way to grind it out guys, great series!
Backcountry that's what I was wondering...is 450 yards with muzzleloader even possible?
With a Rem 700 UML, yes. Especially when it's been customized by Owen's Armory!

The Mountain Project good deal.....glad you all did your homework and that it paid off. Amazing what these modern muzzleloader s can do!
Great video, way more action than I had on my 7E late rifle tag. I'd be curious about the muzzleloader. What kind? What loads? Maybe a video on load development and the groups it shoots.
