There was a man who had internal tears from a similar slide. I don’t understand how these extreme drop slides are still in operation.

Oh no!! And I can't understand it either - Dr. Mary Claire Haver mentioned in a comment on my Instagram that a water park near her has caused injuries on a regular basis! 🫣

For some reason, this video from last year started going viral again on TikTok - and I'm guessing it's because it's summer, people are going to water parks and doing water sports! 🚤
YES - extreme waterslides that reach high speeds CAN cause severe vulvovaginal injuries! Both from the force of the water going into the vag1na itself, but also from shearing forces of the bathing suit and friction on the lab!a! People in the TikTok comments also mentioned that they've had the water go into the rectum and act like an enema.
It's not just waterslides! Anything where the water can hit the body at high speeds can cause injury, including waterskiing and falling from a boat or jumping into water from height. There are actual published case reports / case series of these injuries!
So be careful out there this summer!
    * If you're going to a water park, follow instructions carefully, keep ankles crossed where the signs say to do so, avoid the extreme rides where they have sharp drops / reach high speeds if you want to minimize risk of injury
    * Use caution on boats - avoid consuming alcohol if you're going to be doing activities like waterskiing!
    * And not at all related to the water injuries, but just summer safety, make sure you apply and reapply sunscreen, wear your hats and sunglasses, and stay hydrated - it's crazy hot and sunny out there! ☀️
Please share these summer safety facts!

Thank you for the public safety reminder. It shows you care about people's well-being and do your job for more than just money. It's good. 🙂

That slide is a lot of fun but it's rough. It's easy to see how that can happen. My son says it was very abrasive on his back. The wave pool there at Typhoon Lagoon is very, very strong, too. Blizzard Beach has an even taller slide. If you are on one, it's apparent accidents would happen.

And the fact a female didn’t understand this could happen is mind boggling 🤯🥴😖

it's almost like disney never said something like that could happen, leaving the general public to assume such risks weren't present. usually if something can cause terrible injuries like that, there's a disclaimer. however, seeing as you referred to a woman as a "female", your opinion is slop anyway.

@@edraculation she is a female, all females have Vs, ergo it’s crazy she didn’t know, right?

@@MustBeCrazy ohhh, i see what your logic is. first of all, goes without saying, some "females" do not have those; that's unimportant to this topic though. second of all, in what world would you assume, or even think to consider, that a water slide at one of the largest and most well-funded parks in the world would be able to cause injuries like that? wouldn't you assume it had been tested and proved safe? why would you need to figure out on your own that it could be unsafe?

@@edraculation first, all women have V’s kinda what makes them women. The fact I’m having to explain this to you is mind boggling. Second, there are warnings posted but alas she must not be able to read. Third, it only takes a small bit of logic to understand that having you body shoot down an almost vertical slide which causes water to pummel you during the descent could end in injuries. Forth, almost any slide could cause any number of injuries with a rubber ring or without. I’m glad I could clear this up for you. You’re welcome.

@@MustBeCrazy I'm sorry you're an idiot, but that's ok. nobody's perfect. I'm not gonna debate trans rights with you, because i can tell that you wouldn't be able to process it. back onto what we were talking about in the first place, I don't think it was stated that there were warnings posted. it wasn't her fault for not stopping to map out the logistics of the slide while on vacation, and she shouldn't have to. onto your last bit, i would like to say that you sound unadvised no matter how confident you are.

why do you feel the need to defend billion dollar corporations' "right" to not inform people of the risks surrounding their death traps. mickey mouse isn't gonna pay you for licking his boot like that, danny
