This place, at one time, was really nice, but little by little, they sold off their pumpkin patch to developers to build houses, and no longer actually grow their pumpkins, they have them brought in and placed in a small grassy field, surrounded by homes, if you do go, don't waste your money on a pumpkin, they are overpriced, and no different than the ones you'd buy at your local super market...

Gregory Pappas thanks for putting a damper on a pumpkin Farm video. I'm pretty sure when parents bring their kids to the pumpkin Farm it's worth spending a couple extra bucks to let the kid believe they are picking their own pumpkin as opposed to buying one at a grocery store. jeesh......

T Rex 952 Your welcome, nothing like licking your own pumpkin hehe, all I ment by that was, there are other local pumpkin patches that actually grow their own pumpkins, so the kids can experience the vines and what not, see how they are actually grown... When they are actually grown at the location, I don't mind spending the extra money, and it's considerably more than a couple dollars, last time I went to bengston, it was like fifty cents a pound, and that was eight years ago, I'm sure it's considerably more now...

Gregory Pappas can you recommend a pumpkin patch like the one you are talking about? Sounds cool.

T Rex 952 sure buddy, goebberts farm, in Hampshire Illinois, is an actual farm, on 200 acres I believe, lots of activities for the young ones, pig races, a little train that goes around the patch, a twenty foot slide, delicious donuts, hay rides, and more and a real pumpkin patch, vines and all...

They even have an exotic petting zoo, giraffes, kangaroos, and believe it or not tiger cubs! The kids can even ride a camel if you so choose...
