Red prefers the beautiful lie to the ugly truth. Liz thinks she wants the truth no matter how ugly. They could both learn from Harold: be as honest as you can be, but do not cause pain in the name of honest, and do not lie out of expedience.

As much as I adore Red and Lizzie's relationship to one another, I've actually found his and Dembe's journey together more profound from the very beginning - and I think that's a byproduct or reflection of the mutual respect between them off camera coupled with the more immediate knowledge of Dembe being at Red's side from essentially the beginning and being most intimately informed of who he truly is. Hence, why he's so determined to save Red's soul. Adore these two!!

I DON’T care what Blacklist writers have to do for season 9 and or 10 but they need to bring back Anne Foster character as a angel ghost or witness protection.
I agree with respect to Anne's death being pointless ultimately and how integral she was to analyzing the psychology of Raymond versus "Reddington", who he is as opposed to what the arena he operates in forces him to become. I enjoyed their relationship very much and found her presence to the landscape refreshing. It was great to see someone other than Dembe stand up for and defend him.

@@nikkixsensei oh my goodness, I loved him with Bill 💞 It's remarkable because Dembe hardly has any lines on the show. Someone always being there and a few meaningful looks go a very long way. I'd love to hear a lot more of Dembe the combination of his sweetness and ruthlessness is very refreshing.

I agree completely, Michael. From my vantage point, Lizzie is irredeemable and impossible to ever root for again. That the task force continues to defend and make excuses for her is equally frustrating. Samar is the only person apart from Red who ever held her accountable for her poor decisions as well as actions. I’ve truly enjoyed spending more time with and seeing more of Red and Dembe in recent weeks. In fact, for the past several seasons, the best material has hinged on their relationship and devotion to one another. 🙏🌹
@@nikkixsensei facts and Park is holding her and the task force accountable because she keeps asking "why y'all keep calling her Agent Keen" and tbh after the last episode I'm surprised that Panabaker didn't suspend Ressler for even having her at his house and right now she has done Aram dirty who saved her from the Director in season 3
I couldn’t agree more, in particular with regards to why Panabaker hasn’t levied charges against Ressler in addition to how Lizzie appears to have forgotten about Aram saving her from The Director. Park, to a degree, has held her accountable I suppose. For me, the questions about references to “Agent Keen” who is clearly long gone lose their sting due to her accosting Red wrongly about his role in the events. Please! That he’s to blame for everything has similarly grown old from seasons back now.
I wish I had a friendship like that. Hell if I died noone would care or miss me and it took me along time for me to get use get but I'm finally ok with it.
