When reinstalling lock bolts, why are you hitting that area with the hammer( 12:05 into the video). I have never done this repair before, so I truly don't know. Thanks, ROB

Those are a wedge bolt Not a regular bolt they are shaped like a wedge you bang them int to seat them and then tighten them up so they lock in
