I usually go for 12 sprays of Mancera red tobacco intense layered with 12 sprays of Dior Sauvage elixir when it hits 30 degrees.
that’s the way to go, inoffensive to everyone around
don't forget to finish it with 5 sprays of ultra male
You should also layer with decent 58 sprays of Erba Pura then finish with Montale arabians tonka on top with another 34 sprays, as soon as the heat is intoxicating everyone
Good man. Don't be a sissy sprayer
You forgot to top it off with 50 sprays of Black Afgano.
Day 42 of asking Omar to make a Xerjoff buying guide.

There is summer and then there is hot, humid, strangling summer...
Exactly, not all summers are made equal.
as someone who lives in the city deemed as the hottest in the world this past couple of days (Mexicali, Mexico. Basically border with Southern California, US) Watching this video is hilarious
Ombre Leather in our heat is suicidal behavior
@@alejandromarmolejo13 and it's sooo frustrating. I can only wear it on certain days 🥲
@@alejandromarmolejo13 ¡Puro cachanilla!
I'm in Florida which is essentially a swamp. No one in their right mind is wearing Layton in 98 degrees with 90% humidity.
Bleu electrique is insane. For a Beginner or expert frag-head.
Warm spicy beauty, Fresh n gorgeous. The sillage ( especially in these uk summer evenings ) i love how it makes me feel. I also back layton for the high heat too, if you wear these frags for yourself and to smell good. Who cares!
I’ve been waiting for this. I’m a winter fragrance guy and it’s summer right now
Naxos works for me in the heat
It shines in thr heat
Yeah it works so nice that I don’t consider it a cold weather fragrance I think it’s signature worthy
💯
Naxos is my favorite fragrance ever, but I live in Atlanta, so I probably won’t wear it until late September at the earliest.
Believe it or not, Naxos isn’t at all cloying in the heat. I have worn it on dates on hot humid evenings. Perfect for that. Just go easy on the trigger.
Sprayed on like 12 sprays of Roja's Elysium this morning, and now, 12:17 noon - it's gone. 😔😒 I've sprayed on a few "cold weather" fragrances on hot days (like today) and by now, I'd still detect them without burying my nose on my skin or clothes.
Amazing video as always Omar!! You got me into this hobby
Omg you mentioned Ombré Leather I love you
I like to wore Versace Eros Flame in the summer. Very citrusy from the chinotto and the lemon. And I don't think it is overly sweet.
I have Armani Code Parfum, YSL Bleu Électrique.
I would say these are all year scents and I like to wear them in the summer, but not in the highest heat.
Btw in my experience I like Code Parfum more in the summer rather than in the cold jacket weather. Works well from the Aldehydes and the bergamot.
I'm the type to not lock any frag behind any season. Just as he mentioned that a "winter" fragrance's notes are heightened in the heat should tell you something. You can use whatever you like in any season, just be conscientious with the sprays.
Great video with some great choices in there and I enjoyed it and have a blessed day
I agree with Oud Wood, I received compliments wearing it during humid summer days
Can’t stop and won’t stop wearing winter fragrances in the summer.
Great video! I've often wondered about Middle Eastern fragrances being worn in the heat. I just picked up Amouage Gold Man (it's absolutely incredible!) and wore in two days in a row during high heat; worked beautifully. I think the heat actually activated it. I also wore Nishane Kredo (similar to TF Oud Wood) on a high heat day and it was wonderful. Now I'm anxious to try Hafez 1984 this week. You know whenever you mention it I have to thank you for bringing it to my attention, it's crazy good!!!
I am wearing Tom Ford Ombre Leather edp during the summer nights as well as Macera Tonka Cola. What a fantastic scents.
I wore African leather tonight in 24 degrees weather and it bloomed. I got the perfect projection! It's one of my favorite fragrance and I'm glad I could rock it end of June :)
I wore Haltane yesterday, it was 80°f and worked well for me
Summer is 23c, and summer is also 40c. But there is a big difference.
Wore Oud Wood for a night out in Cabo in December when it was 88 F/31C and got a compliment within the first 5 minutes of being out at the rooftop bar.
After that, seemed like a perfectly reasonable warm weather fragrance to me 😅
I actually wore Bleu Electrique last week and it was very nice. I wore Code Parfum alot in the summer last year. Pretty safe for the heat.
Hi Omar, thanks for all the amazing content. Speaking of a leather fragrance in summer, have you ever tried “Black Leather” from Clean? I think it’s a nice addition for this season. Have a nice day.
I wear Oud Wood, Ambre Nuit, Bois d’Argent, Tuxedo, Dior Homme OG of summer evenings and they work great.
Phew!!! I have already used TF OL and Prada L'Homme Intense in the summer. It's just an eye opening experience. When you live and work in air conditioned areas winter scents are justified. In the main I overwhelmingly have a lot of freshies or aquatics for this season as well the Versatiles like CDNIM edp.
If I was going to go for a leather fragrance for the summer, I think I would grab Sospiro Erba Leather. It is fresher and much lighter on the leather. The leather feels like an afterthought in Erba Leather and not heavy, like TF OL.
@@seanw7917 interesting, have not sampled any Sospiro scents. Michella talks a lot about vibrato but beyond that I know very little about this brand. Apart from airports no way of getting into new brands withoot discovery sets etc.
Carved Oud is amazing in the summer once the sun sets 🌅🌅
I’m surprised Naxos didn’t make the list
Love the idea for this video. IMO, winter fragrances are just superior.
We see fragrance street battles and no lady says "this is nice but it's summer, and I don;t like winter fragrances now". Summer fragrances may be too weak for the winter but winter fragrance are just fine. Even if they smell like wood being burnt, rum etc...I mean I usually drink rum in the summer and we have fires by the beach at night, or preparing the barbeque at noon. No one stops you from wearing winter fragrances in the summer. Also, some of the fragrances mentioned, like Armani Code Parfum are fine all year round objectively.
Layton is a great year-round scent
It's very hot here and I'm wearing Oud Wood and actually i'm getting compliments and it's not offensive at all
Penhaligons Halfeti fits this
Love the bleu electric for night
With the weather becoming more a more warm by the day I don’t really want my cold weather fragrances to collect dust or worst yet to evaporate, so I do use them in the summer just don’t go crazy with the atomiser
I'm in the Caribbean, Layton, Armani Code and Bleu Electrique have been in my rotation for office or evening wear, great projection with just a few sprays, though I feel Layton lasts the longest of the three...
Creed Royal Oud would have been a good shout for this, I wear it a lot here in the Caribbean. It's mostly fresh cedar.
I use bleu electrique as summer scent. I get lots of compliments wearing it.
I actually tried 5 sprays of Sauvage elixir in Indian summer evening. It wasn’t heavily projecting but stayed until next day.
Many fragrances have over time been heavily reformulated and depotenziate such as Oud Wood. The video is perfectly plausible, just do not overspray and the temperatures are not too high.
Hi bro. Review Sunna Musk’s fragrances in particular “Amber Rose”? Thanks 🙏🏽
I find Coromandel does work in the summer. So long as it's not too hot, even Le Lion can work. At the least, on a cool evening, or during the day if there's mild temperatures.
Hello guys
I bought the discovery set from kilian and i wore angels share.
I tried the perfume on the back of my hand and it was really nice, but when i spray on my neck it burns a lot.
I live in Romania so the temperature right now it’s about 33-34 celsius.
In the future i am gonna buy a bottle.
What do you think is the problem?
This is the only perfume i had issues with.
Thank you.
I think tuscan leather works great as well given the raspberry note in it.
Nishane “Fan your Flames” can work in summer but only nighttime and MAX 2 sprays. Greetings from Croatia🇭🇷
My pick would be D&G the One and the One intense, although the notes would not suggest it, i do find some sort of freshness in both of them.
I wore D&G the one yesterday morning and loved it. Works well in the summer.
I have read a short review regarding Armani Code Parfum. I receive a "salicylate effect" in this. It is very smooth, clean, sweet. On fresh air, it reminds me an expensive suntan lotion. I believe, that Ambrox, Lily of the Valley, Salicylates, Benzoates, Hedione, Dihydromyrcenol really make the job here. (Just my nose)
Do you have a recommendation for fragrances that would work in extreme heat? I live in AZ and it gets over 100 degrees F easily, not sure what that is in Celsius.
I think "wintery" fragrances work better during warm weather when combined with a compatible summer fragrance, like Xerjoff Naxos with Renaissance.
A lot of fall/winter scents work at night during the summer. I live in the South (US) and tossing on TF OL or something like PDM Haltane in the early morning... well would choke me out by noon. A single spray after the sun goes down... maybe.
Then again, there are all these great summer scents. Why dip into a fall/winter bag?
Paradis des Sens Vahalla
PDM Sedley
Sospiro Vibrato
Draco Sboy
Gisada Ambassador
Roja Elysium
D&G Light Blue Intense
PDM Greenly
Xerjoff Mefisto
The list goes on and on and on... save the heavy stuff!
For me royal tobacco by amouage is a delightful on skin in the summer
Can you please make an Emil Elise buying guide? There aren't a lot of Fragrances and one called Twisted sin smells like a very realistic apple pie.
I saw a comment on fragrantica of a guy the put 10 sprays of TF ombré leather in Texas's heat...
Also LETS GOOOO Armani code mentioned my signature RAHHH
A hot summer day in the UK is considered cool where I live. Would be great to see a video on fragrances for extreme heat and humidity. I live in the tropics and there are plenty of good daytime fragrances for oppressive heat. But good evening/date night fragrances are a challenge to find for that kind of heat.
I wore Hafez in a Croatian summer evening, it was possibly 30 degrees Celsius? You could also try Xerjoff 40 Knots (although it doesn’t quite fit the theme of this video here)
Idk how people can say la nuit de l'homme is a winter scent, there is nothing sweet or overly spicy about it, i think Dior homme intense can also be stretched out to some cooler summer days
💯 I always thought of LNDL as a versatile year round frag
Hi Omar, india reach 40 degree easily in most cities, do tou think this winter frags works?
Would oud work in the summer? I’m looking for a oud scent and i’m thinking of YSL oud m7 absolu which has mandarin as well which would work.
Sartorial in spring or summer evening works for me
Issey Miyake Nuit d'issey parfum and Mancera Black Gold works REALLY well in the heat
I usually use a half of cup of old spice cologne in the summer.
Vertus Vanilla Oud
if 23°C is insane for you than yeah wear winter fragrances all you like. But when it get's to 30°C then it get's real
I where Red Tobacco and Layton in the summer 🤷🏽♂️
It’s the fall/winter gourmands I’ll avoid in the summer tbh.
Jazz club by maison margiela fits this for me
Once I tried Layton in the summer and it turned so vanilla/sweet that it almost made me sick to smell it.
Hello Omar, i want to challenge you to a 5 fragrance collection. Twist is,
Every fragrance must be suitable for both winter and summer. So no using likes of JPG le male le parfum. Only something that works in all seasons. ❤️
Mancera Hindu Kush is 🔥🔥🔥in the Heat
I live in a tropical country. All winter scents works great in warm weather. Just spray less.
azzaro wanted by night is a summer scent and a half
Dior Sauvage Elixir works in the Summer.. Just 2 Sprays Though
Man 23°C is only 73°F, I live on the south side of the east coast of the USA and today’s high is 92°F which is 33°C. Oh yeah we also got a lot of humidity so like rn it’s 86°F but feels like 94°F so midday with the sun beaming down it’s gonna feel like it’s in the 100°F+ which is 38°C+.
Followed by Kerosene and just enjoy the reaction on a packed tube! :D
Could Carlisle work in Summer? Please say yes 🤣
👀
Savauge Elixir in the summer too ?!
The one disclaimer you should include is being based in the UK. I was there a couple of weeks ago and witnessed what passes for summer there 😭
😂
Oud in hot/dry heat (LA, Spain, Dubai, Greece) is fine and can work. HOWEVER... wearing any of these (except Fahrenheit and YSL) in high humidity (Miami, Bangkok, Singapore) is going to make you smell very offensive because oud/patchouli can quickly go to a urine/fecal/Onion/arm pit sillage.
Do you think Mancera Silver Blue would work in the summer?
Hmmm, might be tricky, but potentially
Ameer al oud intense is literally intense in high heat
Valentino Uomo Born in Roma Coral Fantasy??? 👀
First. 24 degrees is not summer. Its more spring. La nuit de l homme and oud wood are definetly not cold weather fragrances, as they do not have power to cut through cold, so yes, they are definetly on warm weather only for me. I wear layton on high heat and it works perfectly, actually every sandalwood fragrance works well on heat. I wear xerjoff - alexandria 2 on warm weather. Creed - original santal as well, grand soir as well.
Tom ford - FF is perfect example of the leather fragrance that can be worn on warm weather.
Basically everything what is not super sweet can be worn on heat
Bomber jacket in the summer?
No kouros today ?
Summer where I live I’d 45c on the low 😢
what about ombre nomade?
It all depends on where u live, in London you can get away w these but in California all these are a NO during summer
The PDM looked the Carlisle not Layton
Omar, your summers are winter for us in the carribean 😅
😂
Patchouli24 change my mind
Fix the mic quality🗣️🔥🔥
bruh it has been 23c which is about 74F on Christmas day where I live
Day 15 of asking Omar to make a Joop buying guide!
You call 23C "summertime"? What about fragrances that work great in 35-40C???
Any if you stay indoors in AC
Maan you forgot to mention Red Tobacco and TF TV
What about for 30-40C
My recommendation is Air Con
1-2 sprays of Farhenheit in the summer time is perfect. Great outside and awesome inside in an AC room.
I don’t think Layton is winter… especially with that strong lavender note. The cardamom is too potent for a 100 degree day, sure, but 70s-85 and I think it’s a perfect scent to wear.
I am the 37%
He didn't include honour and glory in the vid😢
I would call it an all year scent anyways, not necessarily a 'winter' scent
Lol I wear my prada l homme intense in the heat of summer. 98 degrees haha
Man just called 23c hot. I cant
Welcome to the UK
