The commentators didn't even see the shoe come off the foot of the Ugandan in the Steeplechase. Then in the last lap didn't see the Czech runner storm behind the first four and pass them and come third. Then the Ugandan was clearly seen walking in the stands with a shoe in his hand and the male commentator says after a bit that he should go to the Lost and Found first thing.
Very nice couple of commentators, but like 99% of them in any sport/channel/country, they seem to comment watching the race on cellphones, NEVER see details it's frustrating!
(I have a hudge TV screen and I watch sports like a sniper though!)

The 200m is most certainly NOT a 'power event' and Nigeria has no more talent in this event than any of the regular players. The female commentator needs to learn not to make stereotypical comments like that. She also needs to learn to pronounce the names of the Jamaican/Caribbean, African and Latin American athletes properly!

Trust me, no other names are butchered as bad as Slavic 😂😂 Like not one letter misspronounced, but the whole name, it sounds totallh unrecognizable sometimes

I do not want to be overly critical, but the female (no malicious intent here) announcer has mispronounced many names.
Jenny Meadows. Last year too. And any BBC sports commentaries. Luckily they didn't have her commentate in the World Championships at Eugene.
I like Jenny Meadows, but one of the duties of a commentator is pronouncing many foreign names and she fails spectacularly in the department. She needs to at least watch videos with the athletes who show up on her start lists

@@jordanjordannis2258 but the Brits were announcing in the stadium. Wightman's dad. I heard Gail D, Dan O'Brian, Rob de Castella and the other woman doing the commentary.
