Tara's job offer, the arrest and jail time, all the meetings with Loren that she didn't really ever get to talk with him about, something was always 'more important' at the time. The fight with Gemma where she punches Tara in the stomach and laughs..hope your not pregnant....that right there did it for me with Gemma. Everyone got so crazy that Tara came up with that!! She was absolutely correct when she told Gemma she learned everything from her. That all happened because Jax never told Tara he was working a deal to get her off. All she knew was Patterson was pushing and threatening and Jax wasn't available because of all the fall out clubwise, and all of a sudden Patterson moved the trial to 3 weeks away and Tara had NOTHING in place for her children. Not that Wendy was a stellar choice, but certainly more mind soothing than Gemma, but again, Jax was not available for discussion, and Tara didn't ever share with him what a bully his mommy was..not that he cared. He allowed her to have that power. She was no longer even an old lady in the club. She was a nobody of any standing..by rights. Wendy, Unser and Padilla all gave her the same power. Judgemental as hell to everyone else, but Gemma was Gemma. Shoooot. I wish it had ended differently. They truly loved each other. She was strong and true to his promise to get them out. Until he betrayed her. Even then she struggled with loving him, but loving her children more.

Tara was smart enough not to listen to Gemma about 'Jax has enough on his plate' crap......The night Tara was arrested and he tore up the papers about Tara's attempt to keep her kids from Gemma's rule, then she went to jail with no assurance, as a mother, her children would be safe from Gemma, her relationship with Jax, who was NOT listening at all, took a turn.

Running to Jax when Tara was arrested and gave her that ugly look like “HAHA, Bye” as Tara sitting in the back of the cop car- cooking the next morning playing the role of mom and woman of the house with Jax, all happy 🤦🏻♀️ When Pope had a warrant for their arrest- she sat there arguing with Tara, telling him she knew where they can hide-out, as they listen (of course) and leave the house, she slows down and shoots Tara another disgusting look like “HAHA, they’re coming with me” riding on the back of Jax’s bike 🤦🏻♀️ As I rewatched the show several times, I noticed so many worse things about Gemma 🤦🏻♀️ Tara was my favorite! I still cry when I watch the show at the park scene, her life just going downhill, losing everything all for Jax and his club, only to be brutally murdered by that evil witch 🤦🏻♀️ It’s also very clear Kurt Sutter favored his wife’s character on every level! Made her the star of the show- I have family in one of the biggest MCs- they’re not big fans of the show but think it’s a good show- their primary objective is how wrong Kurt Sutter got it with Gemma’s role, an “old lady” cause that would NEVER happen in real life 🤷🏻♀️ And I’ve heard other MCs said the same thing!
The very first line in this video perfectly explains Gemma;s narrow minded and selfish view of HER' role in motherhood. She was never able to let go of her own selfish dream for him, regardless of how it affected HIS life!! She was also selfish in that she could not fathom any other woman (Tara in particular) could have equally strong (and rational in Tara's case) maternal instincts!!
I started watching SOA in 2016. I had heard about it, but didn't check it out til then. I've watched it through all 7 seasons X 3. Each time I pick up something I didn't see before. What an incredible job these actors did in making so many fans believe this story and love the characters in it. Tara was my favorite. I was so disappointed in how things turned out because Jax really let her down from the torn up papers to cheating with Colette. I loved the park scene. Tara was terrified and it seemed she believed Jax would kill her. Jax was angry up to the point he understood Tara believed he was going to kill her. I think that was the pivotal moment when he understood that she loved him and their children, but even to her, he had truly become a monster, she feared him. That's when he knew he loved her and he needed to make things right. Sad..from that point on!!
I wish they had had or at least shown a scene of her funeral, as someone stated they had one for Opie's wife Donna and Opie(who by the way was one of my favourite characters). Would love to seen evil Gemma's face and reaction at the funeral. She organised her funeral after killing her. can't get over Tara's death and the scene where Jax found her on the kitchen floor, so heart breaking. I wept with Jax and it's been 3 years now and can't get over this show.
