What I've been waiting for! I wasn't expecting you to come sooner with this. I thought I'd need to wait for like a week.
I discovered your channel and this exact tutorial (for fedora 40) like 2 week ago but the 41 beta was already out so I thought I'd wait for the 41 stable. And here we are! 🤙

if you already did it on F40 then upgrade to F41 you just need to install the (libdnf5-plugin-actions) and created the (Snapper.action). then everything will work. I just fix my snapper by doing it.

This is my No. 1 Linux Channel! Thank you very much for your work and helpful content! It would be great to know how to install Ubuntu 24 with bootable Snapshots (Timeshift or Snapper) and full encryption. Unfortunately they have changed the Subvolumes layout with the new installer. Was easy with the Ubuntu 22.04 installer...

Thank you for your support. I will definitely check Ubuntu to see if I can replicate this in Ubuntu.

First of all, thank you for showcasing this guide! I really enjoy your guides. My question or perhaps request is an alternate guide for upgrading F40 w/FDE to F41 Full Disk Encryption. I am in the process of conducting this myself, initiated with the software upgrade utility. After a restart, it just booted to the grub (rescue) CLI. I managed to find and, open and boot into the disk, but the grub seems to be stuck as it is - I manually have to mount the encrypted part. I have an idea about recreating init ramfs and grub configs etc. but that's theory. Thank goodness I did a full disk backup.

I wonder actually if it might be better just wiping the disk anyway and installing fresh since many things are quite different under the hood.
