Just a correction: Queen Jane Grey of England actually reigned for 13 days, not 9. A reign is counted from the death of the previous monarch, but the council didn't announce Edward VI's death for 4 days, so they could prepare to put Jane on the throne without anyone knowing.

@@coolbro8922 Yeah, she's often not counted, for several valid reasons. I do count her though, cos she was proclaimed & acted as queen, & cos Edward chose her- he was 15, not 5- but also as a usurper, cos she wasn't legally the rightful heir on paper.

You didn't include Luis Filipe de Bragança, successor of the throne of Portugal, who died on 1st February 1908, 20 minutes after his father, which makes him King of Portugal that reigned for 20 minutes.
He wasn't elected by Portuguese Parliament, but there are more far-fetched cases on this list.

Concerning ephemeral French reigns, then one could count the grandson of Louis Philippe, who theoretically reigned for two days between his grandfather's abdication on February 24, 1848, and the proclamation of the French Republic on February 26.

King Louis XIX didn't die when he was 20 minutes in his reign. He was abdicated, due to his father's abdication during the July Revolution. King Louis XIX died in 1844

Great video but there's some error with some monarchs. Firstly thong lan's reign from 1388. He was born in 1373, and succeeded his dad Borommarachathirat I at 15 years old.
Secondly, there's another monarch in Thailand called Chaofa Chai, Prasat Thong's Eldest son where he only lasted 1 day, from 8 August to 9 August 1656 Other than that, this is a great history video anyway with minor mistakes

@Empire Loyalist I got the point, China was conquered by mongolians (not Mongol Empire) several times, for example Northern Wei which successfully blended in Chinese people, but Yuan is rather exceptance: Mongol emperors did never mingled with Chinese consorts and kept blood-purity, for example Rajapika, mentioned in video, it is the reason why Borjigins footholded in Weatern ulus but not in China
But maan... 1.Usually, we think lizicheng is an emperor form he took Beijing to his death,that more then a year.Very few people think he isn't emperor since he left Beijing.
2.Xuantong was another year era of Puyi,he at least ruled for three years.

Technically the POPE is an absolute monarch, King of Vatican City AND and Emperor. You may wish to do some research.
