I grew up in California with Black Crows. I recently moved to Alaska, and now I live around Ravens. I can't believe how huge they are. I love to listen to the robot noises they make. What a amazing animal. Thanks for the video.

Ravens make about 40 different sounds. My favorite is the ‘water drop’.
They can talk like parrots as well.

Not super well, mind you, but they can recognizably say "hello" and learn names.

I once rescued a raven with a broken wing and kept it in a box until the vets for the zoo could come pick it up as they had other ravens there too. Such intelligent animals.

Hes so shiny. Corvids are my favorites, over the colorful parrots even. Probably since im from N America and we dont have flocks of wild parrots. 😂But we do have murders of crows. ❤

My parents were annoyed by the local ravens. Dad would, from 60-70 feet, shoot at them with a one-pump BB gun. A while after he started beaning them, they would take to the air, circle the property and make a total ruckus any time he went outside - infuriating him even more. I learned from him to never molest these awesome creatures and you know what? They never sent out warnings to their kin when I went outside. Imagine that.

Poe is amazing and it is so good he has people who understand and play with him. I have a pigeon who came through a similar situation and we have been together now about 15 years. Pidgee is very intelligent also. She has taught me so much. She talks a lot and likes a lot of attention. She loves to go to bed early and sleep late. She adores our bunnies but can't be left alone with them as she will run after them, pecking them for attention. When I take the bus to the beach, 2 wild crows meet me as I get off the bus. They know I have shelled sunflower seeds for them. Birds just fascinate me. What a great name of Poe!!
