There are songs like Spiders and Mr. Jack where the main riff is a bass. I always thought it was a guitar playing the E string, but it's actually Shavo playing the main part on the D string of his bass. You're right about this song though, it's just an effect heavy guitar.
Life is a waterfall We're one in the river And one again after the fall Swimming through the void We hear the word We lose ourselves But we find it all? 'Cause we are the ones that want to play Always want to go But you never want to stay And we are the ones that want to choose Always want to play But you never want to lose Aerials in the sky When you lose small mind You free your life Life is a waterfall We drink from the river Then we turn around and put up our walls Swimming through the void We hear the word We lose ourselves But we find it all? 'Cause we are the ones that want to play Always want to go But you never want to stay And we are the ones that want to choose Always want to play But you never want to lose Aerials in the sky When you lose small mind You free your life Aerials so up high When you free your eyes Eternal prize Aerials in the sky When you lose small mind You free your life Aerials so up high When you free your eyes Eternal prize
Wow this is awesome. So I noticed he’s playing an acoustic for the verses and there’s some other plucky instrument in the background which sounds like a sitar . He’s just playing one note on it but it goes well with the heavy guitars
During these times of looming conspirators, music is like this is exactly what I need to stay motivated. Great workout song. If you haven’t yet, go see what the world economic forum wants for us, and their predictions for 2030 (“we’ll own nothing and be happy, and our every move will be tracked within smart cities, synced to our biological code, where outside the city live the swathes of the discontent”.” Their words. Not mine.
Three - acoustic, clean electric, distorted electric. And, on top of that, there are the strings, and something that sounds like a sitar at the end of the song.
+Illgetbacktothat Trust me Shavo's bass is in aswell. You can obviously hear it in the beginning. Oh and also, if bass wasn't in here this track wouldn't sound this heavy actually (Edit: I was actually wrong, there is a separate bass track)
sensational. daron doesnt get enough respect as a guitarist/arranger
TheGoldenChile hola
also as a songwriter, he’s amazing.
2:24 yesss
Its by far the best part of the song
absolutely yesss
Letting people know. It's not Shavo Odadjian playing in the intro. It's just Daron Malakian playing on the low e string.

@@Circaninesix Evil chorus i call it
Well more accurately low C string as the song is in Drop C
Yeah it's definitely drop C, gotta do that CGCFAD maneuver for this one, it's so heavy tho, love it
Thanks for uploading this. Guitars in "Aerials" are fantastic!
How perfect this can be
Life is a waterfall
We're one in the river
And one again after the fall
Swimming through the void
We hear the word
We lose ourselves

Aerials so up high
When you free your eyes
Eternal prize

Thank you for posting the lyrics. Super helpful.

Is there a acoustic guitar blended with the distorted guitars?
Yeah he's strumming the chords underneath pretty hard
i just conbayed the song with guitar track and vocal track and drum track that was so awsome
You are missing bass, completely feels weird without it

Are there two guitars or i'm wrong?
In the studio you can record as many tracks as you like) All for good sound
There is mainly one,but in the some parts there is two one is doing the intro riff another is doing a palm mute of the intro riff
Yep, you can hear a distortioned electric guitar and a acoustic guitar under it
Possibly yes
Knowing that Serj also plays guitar when playing this song live
Three - acoustic, clean electric, distorted electric.

new
dis dude has no treble on that damn tone
Axairu it's tunes down really low.
His settings are:
Bass: 10
Mid: 3-5
Treble: 6-7
It sound like that because he's using a baritone guitar
that's not a baritone guitar and the treble is actually quite high
Super Leekeg Shoon Dino Vevo its simple, man. he uses a lot of mids, it's like treble it's on 7 and the mid it's on 6-7
I remember tuning my Gibson (seen in picture
Wait wha-
I have an Ibby RG450 with a FR bridge. I have it set up to play CGCFAD and it works fine. I hope you had a better experience with the drugs :)
why is bass in it
snoody pro gaming it isn't.
yes there is bass in the beginning
HazyMan It's Daron on differing frets on the low E string.

"Only guitar" and in beggining theres a bass in the background
